The administrator can decide which workflows should be accessible to each department or user. These workflows will follow the user around the company. Process digital Documents with a powerful Scan Engine With uniflow, scanned documents can be processed automatically using e.g. zonal OCR or barcode recognition to extract the information contained therein allowing automatic pre-fill of index information as well as conversion to formats such as Microsoft Word. With uniflow, you can scan documents directly from both your Canon imagerunner ADVANCE and Canon imageformula ScanFront Network Scanner into the respective business processes defined according to your exact needs. Secure Scanning To prevent unauthorized use of your devices, users can identify themselves at the device with a variety of methods such as card login, username/password, Pin code, job code, or anonymous login. When access is granted, all scan usage is allocated to the user and recorded for later reporting. Users can be granted different access rights to various functions depending on e.g. their job role. Unifying Scanning and Printing When operating on Canon multifunctional devices, users can employ the same identification method and interface for both scanning and printing. After logon, users can either select their personal scan workflows or their secure print queue, thus no need to manage users, roles, cost centers, etc. separately

5 Convenient Scan Interface After a successful logon, users are provided with an intuitive user interface. When scanning, a preview is generated allowing the end-user to verify their job. Orientation of images can be detected, pages can be despeckled and deskewed if necessary and lines, dark borders and dither can be removed

7 Automatic Text Recognition Using the highly accurate, embedded I.R.I.S. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, the content of the document can automatically be identified and the text recognized. The document can be converted from an image file into PDF or Office document. With uniflow, different forms can be recognized automatically and the data can be captured via zonal OCR or barcodes. At the point of scanning, the user can validate the captured data directly on the display of the Canon imagerunner ADVANCE or Canon imageformula ScanFront Network Scanner. 11 Scan to Mail/Microsoft Exchange Users can send scanned documents straight to their own mailbox or to multiple other addresses. After sending the document, a copy of the can be stored in the sent items list of the user s mailbox. Scan to Folder/ FTP Users can scan documents into their personal or a shared network folder. No database or application are required. Alternatively, they can share the scanned documents with other users via FTP. Scan to Microsoft SharePoint / SharePoint Online Users have the possibility to select their SharePoint Site or to browse through sub sites, depending on their access rights. Stored as PDFs or Microsoft Word/ Excel files, they are easy to find using the default search function.
