It records/captures events during driving A Collision Erratic Movements: G-Forces Speed Manual Event Button A green light on the unit begins to flash when the recorder is triggered. The green light goes solid when the information is stored. Events are uploaded after capture and sent to our company account and reviewed Employees are coached and or disciplined

28 Frequently Asked Questions? Q. What happens if rough road conditions trigger the recorder but I was still driving safely? A. If no unsafe driving was observed, the event will not be sent to AWG. Q. Does the camera record at night? A. Yes. The camera has infrared technology that allows for night vision. Q. How much of the interior of the vehicle is on camera? A. Depending on the placement on the windshield almost all of the interior is visible. Q. Can you understand what people are saying on the audio? A. Yes, the SmartRecorder records audio, including verbal statements. Q. Does the camera record if the ignition is off? A. Yes, but only the first hour after the ignition is turned off and if an event triggers the camera within that 1 hour timeframe. If the ignition is turned on/off during that 1 hour period the internal clock is reset. Source: SmartDrive

29 Frequently Asked Questions? Q. Once I get back to the yard is there anything I need to do for the videos to download? A. Simply park the vehicle and complete shift. Q. How can the unit know when I run a stop sign or stop light? A. Similar to speeding-it s an incidental observation. Sometimes when you proceed through intersections there are dips in the road. If this is enough to activate the camera it will be captured. Q. What if I place something over the lenses? When an event triggers the SmartRecorder will it record that something has been placed in front of the lens? A. Yes, covering the lens will be noted and identified as possible tampering. Can I see my recorded events? A. Yes, your Manager and/or Supervisor will review these with you as part of the coaching process. Q. Can the video show up on the Internet? A.
