7 Attractions and landmarks Prague Prague card 50 attractions with one card, allowing for quick and easy access around the city, including travel on the tram, metro, bus, river ferries and Petrin Funicular. One of the highest rates of public transport use in the world a model for other major European capitals 1.2 billion passenger journeys per year. Prague public transport museum over 40 historical vehicles and an array of models and photographs, acting as a national landmark for public transport excellence. Vaclav Havel airport the busiest airport of the new EU member states & a hub for national carrier Czech Airlines. The modern day airport evolved from Kbely Airport, which now includes the city s aviation museum and is a base for the air force. Airport soon to be connected by a modern rail network to the City Centre local trains to be fully integrated into the city s transit system.

8 Attractions and landmarks Munich Extensive public transport system consisting of an underground network, suburban trains, trams and buses cheap day tickets available permitting unlimited use of network all day for ~6 euros. Land transport collections, housing a multitude of rail and road-related exhibits and illustrating the development of certain aspects of German transport. Munich airport second busiest in Germany and fourth busiest in Europe secondary hub for Lufthansa. Also working on a third runway with shareholders interests the major stumbling block. Visitor park on the fringes of the airport boundary provides good views of T1 and the westerly apron. Some historic aircraft on display including a DC-3.
