1 The Tundra The coldest of all biomes. By: Ashley Laveriano, 7th grade, Mrs. Bateman
2 Types of Flowers: The most known flowers and plants of the tundra are BearBerry, Arctic Moss, Arctic Willows, Caribou Moss, and Pasque Flowers. Pasque Flowers Arctic Moss
3 Animals In both Alpine and Arctic tundra consists of very curious and unique animals that have adapted themselves to that environment. Alpine: MOUNTAIN GOAT AND MORMOT ARCTIC: ARCTIC HARE, CARIBOU, AND POLAR BEAR
4 Weather and temperature Most of the tundra is located in Canada, Alaska, Greenland, Russia and a bit of the North Pole. The average temperature in winter is -34 C and in the summer it is 3-12 C. In the tundra, there is annual precipitation of 6-10 inches. The wind in the tundra is 140 kilometers per hour There is no moisture in the tundra.
5 Coniferous Like a mysterious travel.
6 Types of flowers: There are very few flowers (mainly trees) because of the lack of nutrients in the soil. TREES: WILLOW TREES, ASPEN TREES, AND PIN Vegetation: TREES. Lichen and Moss.
7 ANIMALS: Most of the animals have adapted to this biome by hibernating. They raise their young in the summer. BEARS, THE SNOWSHOE RABBIT, and Mooses.
8 Weather and Temperature This biome is located in North America, across Asia, Siberia and Mongolia. Mostly it s chilly because cold winds from the arctic circle pass by. It s turned away from the sun in winter. Winter is the longest season (3 months) and it s average temperature is -30 C. Summer lasts for only 3 months and it s average temperature is 30 C. Highest temperatures go from July to August and lowest are in January to February.

12 Weather and Temperature Located in Eastern Asia, Central and Western Europe and Eastern United States. In the winter the average temperature is -22 F. In the summer the average temperature is 86 F. The growing season is days long. Get your raincoats! There is a high precipitation in this biome!

16 Weather and Temperature: Tropical rainforests can be found mostly around the equator such as the tropic of cancer and the tropic of capricorn. There is a short dry season along with a long rainy season. Annual rainfall is inches. Temperature is no higher than 93 F and no lower than 68 F.

20 Weather and Temperature Precipitation is 25 to 100 cm annually. Daily temperatures range from C. The soil is very rich and fertile. Precipitation occurs in late spring or early summer. Summer temperatures can be from 100 F or higher. Winter temperatures can be as low as -40 F.
