Camp Sunshine is for campers entering grades Pre-K through Grade 6 th in the fall of Pre-K campers must be three years of age by the start of camp on June 29 th and must be toilet trained. Groups are separated based on enrollment, but no more than two grade levels will be grouped together. B. Dates - Camp Sunshine will operate from Wednesday June 29 th - Friday August 5th *Partial week programs may be available: please contact camp administration to request this option. C. Hours Regular Camp Sunshine Hours: 8:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. for all age groups. *Some trips for older campers may require a late dismissal. Those dates and times will be announced prior to the start of camp on our camp calendar. *Half-day hours/program may be available for both Pre-K and K campers: Please contact camp administration for more information on this option. D. Early Drop Off - The early drop off program begins at 7:45 a.m. Campers can sign up for this ahead of time for the whole summer for a reduced rate, or you can pay as you go. Please see fees section. Activities include board games, arts and crafts. Campers can bring breakfast or a snack with them to eat if they wish. E. Extended Day Program - The extended day program allows campers to stay after regular camp hours until as late as 5:45 p.m. Campers can sign up for this ahead of time

2 for the whole summer for a reduced rate, or you can pay as you go. Activities include Mad Science classes, movies and group games. An afternoon snack will be provided. F. Camp Location - Alice E. Grady School (45 Cobb Lane, Elmsford, NY 10523) is our main camp site. We utilize the classrooms, fields, cafeteria, library and gymnasium for daily activities. Campers are bussed off site to utilize the village s spray park, the county pools and to go on fun and exciting day trips. G. Camper/Staff Ratios For Pre-K through Grade 1--all groups are led by certified teacher and assisted by experienced counselors. The ratio between these campers and counselors is 6:1. For 2 nd through 6 th Grade the ratio between campers and counselors is 8:1 H. Camper Information and Medical Forms - All registration information must be submitted online in order for your child to be enrolled for the season. Immunization and Physical forms MUST be submitted before the start of camp on June 29th. If you do not have these forms turned in, your child will not be able to attend. I. Camper Health - A health director will be on staff full time. All medical conditions should be noted on the proper registration forms, and can be discussed with the health director and camp director prior to the start of camp. Medicine MUST be given to the health director by camper s guardians. Under NO circumstance will campers be allowed to hold medication on them during the day. If your child falls ill during camp and/or suffers an injury and reports to the health office, the camp health director will be in contact with parents/guardians. J. Drop Off & Pick Up Elmsford Day Camp does not provide any bus transportation to and from camp. Please note the following important information regarding Drop Off and Pick Up procedures: Drop-off: Cars will pull into the Grady Circle and Counselors and Staff will be there to open car doors and accept the campers. Our staff will help the children out of their cars and walk them to their classrooms/meeting spots from 8:40am 9:05am. If your child arrives after this time, you must park your car and walk your child into camp. *Please note if your child is a part of the early morning program, we will have staff outside waiting for your child to be checked in. Pick-up: If your child is in grades Pre-K through 1 st grade, you must park your car in the Hamilton Lot and walk inside to sign out your child. Parents can start picking up from these grades at 2:30pm. If your child is in grades 2 nd and up, they will be waiting outside with their counselors in the Grady Circle at 2:45 for the cars to come. *Please note if your child is a part of the extended afternoon program, you must walk inside to pick up your child and sign him/her out. K. Lunch/Snack - Campers may bring a bagged lunch or they may participate in our Camp lunch program where lunch will be provided. Bagged lunches MUST be in a brown paper bag ONLY and each lunch will be refrigerated. The lunch program is $125 for the summer for each camper. There will be options to choose from each day for lunch that will include a variety of

3 sandwich choices, snack choices, and a drink. At times pizza may be offered to them. This fee also includes special lunches provided on trips. SNACK will be given out daily to all campers, whether or not they are in the Camp lunch program. L. Daily Schedules Pre-K Grade 1: Campers in grades Pre-K through Grade 1 will follow a daily schedule created by their teachers, that will include a variety of activities relating to the development and fostering of social skills, literacy skills, interactive play, group sports, science and math, and being a part of the community. Their day will begin with a morning meeting, and they will have sprinkler and playground time on a daily basis. Pre-K and K will have a daily afternoon rest period ranging from minutes. 1 st Grade will have instructional swim twice a week. 2 nd ---6 th : Campers in grades 2nd 6th will follow a daily schedule that will include a variety of activities that will encourage and foster their social skills, creative talents, athletic development, sportsmanship, and building of self-esteem. Activities include, but are not limited to: organizes sports such as kick ball, parachute games, BINGO tournaments, assorted board game play, basketball tournaments, scavenger hunts, trivia games, tie-dying, nature walks, hands on science, movie afternoons, sideline soccer, spud, hopscotch, and much much more... M. Swimming Campers in grades 2 nd 6 th will swim two--three times per week, weather permitting, at the Saxon Woods Pool for approximately 1 hour each day. Instructional swim will be provided to beginner swimmers, and all swimmers will be tested by a certified WSI upon the start of the summer. Instructional swim provided for 1 st grade campers twice a week. Elmsford Day Camp provides their own certified lifeguards and water safety instructors, and abides by the NY Board of Health Guidelines in regards to swim supervision and safety. N. Trips - Campers in Pre-k--Grade 2nd will go on 2-3 full day trips throughout the season. Campers in grades 3rd-6th will go on 4-5 full day trips throughout the season. Trip fees are included in tuition. If your child does not participate in the Camp Lunch program, there may be additional fees required if there is a special lunch on a trip. O. Arts and Crafts - Campers will go to Arts and Crafts 2-3 times per week for forty minute periods. This activity will be led by an experienced instructor. P. Instructional Sports Campers will go to Instructional Sports 2-3 times per week for fortyminute periods. This activity will be led by an experienced gym teacher/coach. Depending on age, campers will be given instruction, participation in drills, and experience in team play in

4 sports that may include basketball, soccer, baseball/softball, flag football, and volleyball. Q. Drama/Theater - Campers will go to Drama/Theater 2-3 times per week for forty minute periods. This activity will be led by an experienced drama instructor. Activities in improvisational acting, dramatic play and theater games, and preparation for the annual camp show will be a part of each session R. Camp Show - Campers and counselors will perform with their groups in the annual camp show, which they will prepare for in drama class. This year s theme has not yet been determined, but it is sure to be a huge success filled with singing, acting, and dancing. The themes in the past have included Broadway, Disney and Camp Idol. All parents and friends are invited to see the show. This year s show is Thursday July 28 th at 6:30pm. S. Special Events Special events occur at least once a week in our camp, and there are different age appropriate themes and entertainment. Our special events calendar is currently being prepared. T. Rainy Days - The camp prepares several rainy day schedules in anticipation of rainy, or cold weather, so that the campers are dry, safe and still having fun. On swim days, alternate destinations will be in effect, such as bowling, arcades and/or the movie theater. U. Camp Pictures - Notices about individual and group pictures will be sent home during the first week of camp. Parents/Guardians will have the opportunity to purchase camp picture packages, as memorabilia of the camp season. In addition, we post pictures on our website and/or outside of our classrooms, hallways and in our newsletters on a daily or weekly basis. Our Photo release form on our registration website must be filled out by all. V.
