1 INVITATION CYCLING TRACK CYCLING - CAMP & COMPETITION Dear Riders, Clubs and Federations It is with great pleasure that Cykling Odense invite riders, in the U13, U15, U17 and U19 classes, from Denmark and rest of the world to take part in the fourth edition of the Hans Christian Andersen City Games. Hans Christian Andersen City Games are a multisport event that takes place in Odense, Denmark, every year in week 32. The aim and purpose of the Games is to gather young athletes from all over the world to have fun and learn from each other. Besides cycling, the following sports will be present at HCA City Games 2015: American Football, Football, Golf, Mini-golf, Horseback riding, Streetsport, Tennis, Trampoline, TeamGym and Water Polo Organisers Cycling at the Hans Christian Andersen City Games are organised by Cycling Odense, mail: clausr@stofanet.dk and Mobile: Date 4 th 9 th August 2014 (earlier arrival can be arranged) Location The Hans Christian Andersen City Games takes place in Odense, the third largest city in Denmark, just 2½ hours by car from Hamburg (Germany), 1½ hours by car or train from Copenhagen, and 1 hour by car from Billund International Airport. Venue The venue for the camp and competition are the New Velodrome (2015) at Odense Idrætspark, Højstrupvej 5, 5200 Odense V Classes and age The camp and competitions are open for all athletes in the classes U13, U15, U17 and U19, female and male. It is the year of birth that defines the class

2 CAMP AND COMPETITION Camp and competition All participants will have two training sessions of 1½ hour, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday there will be at least one session of 1½ hour, depending on the No. of athletes for the competition. The competition will take place on Saturday, in the disciplines scratch, point race and other events. If many participants, some of the races will take place Friday afternoon. Equipment Participants will have to bring their own track bike(s). Storage at the Velodrom is possible. Cykling Odense has a limited numbers of track-bikes that can be rented by international participants. Please contact Claus Rasmussen at . clausr@stofanet.dk or Mobile: if interested. Other activities Besides cycling activities, the participants is invited to be a part of the opening parade, the opening, the Garden party at Odense Zoo, and the farewell party arranged by the HCA City Games. All participants will also receive a HCA City Games T-shirt.

In addition there will be a participation certificate for all participants.

4 FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION Food and accommodation: Breakfast is served at the schools every morning from We offer a hearty and delicious breakfast, including bread, cheese, jam, juice, milk and cornflakes. Lunch, a healthy and balanced lunch will be served Wednesday to Saturday and a healthy and balanced Dinner, including of piece of fruit will be served Wednesday to Saturday. Accommodation The Hans Christian Andersen City Games offer accommodation at a school nearby the Sports hall/venue of the Track cycling event, at own air-mattress, sleeping bag, from Tuesday to Sunday If you only wants to participate in the competitions on Saturday, accommodation and food can be arranged from Friday-Saturday and Saturday-Sunday. Cycling Odense has it own sleeping facility Cytellet next to the velodrome, that can be booked at DKK 800,- pr. Night incl. breakfast, max. 4 persons pr. Room. Hotel accommodation 3* can also be ordered through the organizers a the following prices: DKK 550,- Single room, incl. breakfast DKK 650,- Twin/Double room, incl. breakfast DKK 750,- Tipple room, incl. breakfast Prices are pr. 5 REGISTRATION REGISTRATION, PRICES AND PAYMENT Declaration of interest Register before 1 th March 2015 and get app. 10% discount on your entry fee Definitive Send your definitive entry not later than 1 th June 2015 Entries received after 1 th June 2015 may be accepted for an extra fee Please notice that there is a limit of 100 athletes/riders for the camp, based on first come first serve. All registrations to be send by to clausr@stofanet.dk For athletes please write name, birth day, year and sex. For coaches/officials/parents please write name and function. Payment: All payments must be on the account of Cykling Odense, not later than 1 st.july 2015, based on invoice from the Club. Participation Fee EUR (DKK 1,500) per participant an early registration before 1 th March 2015 reduces the price to EUR ( DKK 1,350). The entry fee covers Participation in the Hans Christian Andersen City Games Trampoline Camp & Competition Lodging at a local school (please bring your own mattress, sleeping bag etc.) Breakfast Wednesday-Sunday Lunch and dinner Wednesday-Saturday Participation in the Parade and Opening Ceremony Participation in the Garden Party in Odense Zoo Participation in the Closing Ceremony and Farewell Party Free local buses in Odense and special transport to and from the above evening events It is possible just to take part in the competition on Saturday 8 th August The fee for participation, including a T-shirt and access to the Farewell Party is EUR 25.00/DKK Accommodation from Friday- Saturday and/or Saturday-Sunday incl. breakfast can be arranged for EUR 15.00/DKK pr. Night. Dinner Friday incl. Garden Party at Odense ZOO and be arranged for EUR 20.00/DKK Lunch and dinner Saturday, can be arranged for EUR 25.00/DKK

6 TRANSPORTATION Participants are offered free transportation from Odense train station to the school at which accommodation has been provided, and back on departure. Transportation to and from airports can be arranged at additional costs. Throughout the days participants are free to use the public transport system in Odense. The participants will be provided with an ID card that gives access to free bus transportation within the city ring. Insurance & Visas Insurance is compulsory and the responsibility of each participant. The Hans Christian Andersen City Games cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever.
