1 MathWorks MatLab download & installation instructions 1. A MathWorks account needs to be created prior to the installation. From any browser, visit and click on the Create Account link. 2. Associate your account with the Cal State Fullerton license. Click on My Account under My Licenses click on Associate Licenses click on Add License. Use the activation key Download the software by clicking on the Download Products link after you associated your account with the Cal State Fullerton license. You will need to select your operating system. 4. Install the software. Follow the installation steps. Check Activate MatLab to complete the installation steps. NEED MORE DETAILS? 2 1 Create a MathWorks Account Steps Step One Go to and click on the Create Account link in the top right corner of the page. Step Two Enter your campus address. Images Select Academic use (including ) in response to How will you use MathWorks software? Click Create. Note: Accounts created using a non-campus address will not be eligible for the free license. 4 2 Associate with Cal State Fullerton License Steps Images Step One Once you have created your MathWorks account, login with your credentials on the MathWorks website. Step Two Click on My Account Step Three Once in your account profile, under My Licenses click on Associate License. Step Four You will be directed to the License Center. 5 Step Four On the Add License window, select Activation Key under the Associate Me with a License section. Click Continue. Step Five Enter the following for the Activation Key Click Continue. Step Six Click Done. 5 Information Technology Student Technology Services

6 3 Downloading the software Steps Images Step One You will be re-directed to License Center page. Click on Download Products. Step Two You will be re-directed Downloads page. Click on R2014b. Step Three Select your operating system. This guides shows the installation steps on Windows 64bit Operating System, but the remaining installation steps will be similar for other operating systems. 8 Step Eight Click Download. Step Four Matlab will start downloading to your computer. The duration of this process depends on the speed of your internet connection and the quality of your personal computer. 8 Information Technology Student Technology Services

9 4 Installing your software The instructions for this guide were done on a PC; however the installation screens will be the same for a Mac. Steps Images Step One The installation will start once the software has been downloaded. On the MathWorks Installer window, select the Install using the Internet option and click Next.
