Dear Players, Officials, Guests and Spectators, The Austrian, Czech and Slovakian Golf Federations initiated to launch a new series of tournaments for our neighbouring countries, the European Olympic Hopes Trophy (EOHT), and we are proud to have joined this great initiative last year. According to our goal, the EOHT will consist of at least six events organised all over Europe from the year These prestigious championships are to bring together many of the most talented Girls and Boys in Europe not just to compete against, but also to practice with each other while aiming to achieve their common dream, namely, participating in the Olympic Golf Tournament. It is a great honour for the Hungarian Golf Federation to be the host of the inaugural European Olympic Hopes Trophy on the beautiful course of Pannonia Golf & Country Club, Máriavölgy. Our Organizing Committee do their best to stage a memorable championship of high quality while establishing traditions for many years to come. 5 Venue Pannonia Golf & Country Club : Alcsútdoboz : H 8087 Máriavölgy, Hungary : info@golfpannonia.hu GPS: 47 43'04" N, 18 62'24" E : The golf club is situated approximately minutes drive mainly on highway from the centre of Budapest. The Championship golf course is situated in beautiful surroundings bounded on one side by the Etyek wine region and on the other side by Alcsútdoboz Máriavölgy. The course can be easily approached from the Bicske exit of the M1 highway or though the village of Etyek. The course was opened in 1996 and since its opening it has staged many international and national events which include European Golf Association (EGA) sanctioned events. It provides enjoyment for all golfers from the beginner to the more experienced player. The entrance to the clubhouse is lined with a splendid row of 200 year s old Sycamore trees. It provides a warm welcome to all the golfers or people just passing by to take in the natural beauty of the golf course and relish in the relaxing environment of the clubhouse and to enjoy the hospitality of the PANNONIA Golf & Country Club. 4 The clubhouse belonged to the Habsburg family and was designed by the prominent Hungarian architect of classicism Mihály Pollack. The elegant clubhouse with its imposing entrance provides the backdrop for the PORTICUS Restaurant and Golf Bistro providing a level of service and culinary delights for all the golfers, day trippers or holiday makers passing through. The Porticus restaurant is available for company and private functions The restaurant is able to accommodate more than 100 guests for golf events, weddings, private and business events. The spacious terrace provides a place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Rated as one of the best courses in middle eastern Europe it has been hosting many international and national tournaments. In 2013 the European Senior Mens Team Championship organized by the EGA and the Hungarian Golf Federation at Pannonia. In 2014 Pannonia will host The Olympic Hopes Trophy and The European Boys Team Championship Division 2. Pannonia Golf & Country Club by car From Liszt Ferenc International Airport 1, 2 (75 km): From Budapest take highway M1 towards Győr, leave the highway at exit Bicske (at 39 sign), turn right at the next intersection. After 2,3 km take a left turn to road 811 (towards Székesfehérvár). Follow the road for the next 7,5 km, then take a left turn to Béke street in the centre of Alcsútdoboz. Pannonia Golf & Country Club is situated to the right, after a 2 km drive. 6 From Vienna (181 km): Take highway A4/E60 towards Hegyeshalom, cross the former border, drive further on M1/E75, take exit Bicske (at 39 sign). After 2,3 km take a left turn to road 811. Follow the road for the next 7,5 km, then take a left turn to Béke street in the centre of Alcsútdoboz. Pannonia Golf & Country Club is situated to the right, after a 2 km drive. From Bratislava (138 km): Take highway E65 towards Budapest cross the former border at Hegyeshalom, continue on highway M1/E75, take exit Bicske (at 39 sign). After 2,3 km take a left turn to road 811. Follow the road for the next 7,5 km, then take a left turn to Béke street in the centre of Alcsútdoboz. Pannonia Golf & Country Club is situated to the right, after a 2 km drive. From Zagreb, Ljubljana (507 km): Take highway through Ljubljana Maribor Nagykanizsa (former border), in Hungary take highway M7 towards Siófok then to Budapest, from Budapest take highway M1 towards Győr. Leave the highway at exit Bicske (at 39 sign), turn right at the next intersection. After 2,3 km take a left turn to road 811(towards Székesfehérvár). Follow the road for the next 7,5 km, then take a left turn to Béke street in the centre of Alcsútdoboz. Pannonia Golf & Country Club is situated to the right, after a 2 km drive.

Nevertheless, shuttle services between Hotel Abacus and Pannonia Golf & Country Club will be available during the event from 15 to 20 April for HUF / day (cca. 131*, exchange rate: 310 HUF/EUR as at 21 February). 10 PLAYER INFORMATION Bus Shuttle Service Bus shuttle service will be provided for participants and accompanying officials during the championship between Liszt Ferenc Airport and Hotel Abacus for HUF / day (cca. 139, exchange rate: 310 HUF/EUR as at 21 February). Catering No alcohol will be served to players during the week. Buffet breakfast will be served for early birds at the hotels from 6.00 am. Buffet lunch will be served at the Golf Club for 2500 HUF / person (cca. 8, exchange rate: 310 HUF/EUR as at 21 February). The hotel restaurant as well as the buffet at the club house offer further possibilities. Dinner will be available at the hotels from 6 pm to 9:30 pm. Dress Code A reasonable standard of golf clothes (no jeans) is required at all times on the course and in the club house. Only soft spikes are permitted on the course. Team uniforms are requested for ceremonies. Drug Abuse The guidelines on drug abuse are the same as applicable at all European Championships and International Matches. Players are prohibited to enhance their performance by taking drugs. The Hungarian guidelines on banned substances are applicable, and the players attention is drawn to the list of drugs issued by the Hungarian Sports Council. 11 Practice A player who is competing in the Olympic Hopes Trophy will not be allowed to practice on the championship course for a period of thirty days before the first official practice round of the tournament, unless he or she is member of the club at which the championship is being played. Practice tee times will be available on Tuesday, 15 or Wednesday 16, April During practice rounds only one ball shall be in play with the following exception: if a player misses the green with his shot to the green, he may play one additional shot. Practice balls will be available free of charge at the driving range. Practice balls cannot be used on the championship course. 10 Facilities on the Golf Course Refreshment will be available at holes: 8, 13 Additional toilettes will be available at holes: Press Office Located in the Club House. Telephones and fax will be available in the Club House. Journalists have to return the Press requirements form duly completed (page 16) to the office of the HGF by fax or before Monday, 10 March Golf Bag Storage Golf bag storage will be available in the club house. Golf Shop Golf shop with a limited range of golf equipment and clothing is located in the club house. Information Center and Recording The information center is located at the reception in the club house of the Pannonia Golf & Country Club: Registration / Starting times / Results / General information Recording will also be organized in this area. Locker-Room Locker-rooms are located in the club house. Medical Certificate According to Hungarian law a Medical Certificate is required for all players entering an International Championship or National Competition in Hungary. Each player has to return the enclosed Medical Certificate Form duly completed by a Doctor (page 18) to the Hungarian Golf Federation by fax or before Monday, 10 March 2014.

12 Tournament and Rules Officials Tournament Officials desk: located in the tournament office. Rules Officials are appointed by the HGF. Chief Referee will be Mr Balázs Lugosi. Trolleys Manual trolleys will be available free of charge. 11 Website Tournament information, draws, results and pictures will be available on the Hungarian Golf Federation s website during the tournament: Conditions of Competition Tournament Committee 1.1 Composition of Authority The Tournament Committee members present are responsible for the sporting aspects of the Championship and reserve the right to amend the Championship Conditions. The Committee may appoint a Referee whose decision on the Rules of Golf will be final. 1.2 Competition Cancelled or Altered The Committee reserves the right to cancel any stipulated round, suspend or postpone play, cancel the competition or come to an equitable decision to achieve a result. The Conditions of Competition are available on the HGF website: Entries Entries (which will be accepted on the official entry form only, page 13) must reach the Hungarian Golf Federation s office at the address stipulated on the entry form no later than Monday, 10 March Entries will be accepted for six Girls and six Boys under 17 years of age as of hrs on 1 st January 2014, and an additional condition is that one boy out of each team of six players and one girl out of each team of six players must be under the age of 13 years old at 0.00 hours on 1 st January 2014 as nominated by their National Golf Authority. All entries shall be subject to the approval of the Championship Committee which reserves the right to accept or refuse any entry without giving reason for its decision, which shall be final.

13 1.1 Eligibility of Teams Teams competing in European Olympic Hopes Trophy (EOHT) will be officially invited on an annual basis by the Championship Committee which always comprises representatives of four founding national golf authorities of Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. 1.2 Eligibility of Players All players nominated to teams by their national golf authority must be: a) amateur golfers in accordance with the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by R&A Rules Limited; b) citizens of the country represented. Players with dual citizenship may only represent one country per year; c) under the age of 17 years at 0.00 hours on 1 st January d) one boy out of each team of six players and one girl out of each team of six players must be under the age of 13 years old at 0.00 hours on 1 st January Penalty for Breach of Condition: Disqualification of player 1.3 Format Six teams of boys and six teams of girls shall be eligible to participate in the annual of EOHT. Each team shall comprise six boys or six girls. Each group should contain a player who under the age of 13 years at 0.00 hours on 1 st January 2014, please see the details in 1.2 Eligibility of Players. The number of teams to participate in the consecutive annuals of EOHT will be announced by the Championship Committee by the end of the preceding calendar year, e.g., by December 31, 2013 for the annual of EOHT in 2014, etc. EOHT will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Limited and the Local Rules of the hosting golf course as approved by the Tournament Committee. For further information on the format of the competition please see the Conditions of Competition. Advice Each team may appoint a Team Advisor who may give advice to members of that team. If appointed, the Team Advisor must be identified to the Tournament Committee prior to the commencement of EOHT. The Team Advisor may be a professional golfer. No caddies are permitted except for fellow team players.

18 MEDICAL CERTIFICATE FORM (Please fill in with capital letters) According to Hungarian law, a Medical Certificate is required for all players entering an International Championship or National Competition in Hungary including Club competitions. We herewith draw your attention to this important rule included in the conditions of play. This is to be fulfilled in all sports and by all competition organizers. Therefore, the Hungarian Golf Federation must receive the medical certificates duly filled in by a doctor even if your players are insured when they travel abroad and if a medical assistance covers all expenses. Considering that some countries do not have such regulation and do not issue such certificates, a medical certificate form is prepared in advance that you will find hereunder.
