3 Annual evolution of the Industrial Production After adjusting for seasonal and calendar effects, the Industrial Production Index registered a variation of 4.0% in, as compared with the same month of the previous year. This rate was 3.6 points higher than that registered in. The original series of the IPI recorded an annual variation of 6.9%. This rate was 12.4 point higher than that of. 4 Results by Autonomous Community. Annual variation rates of the Industrial Production. Original series. The annual rate of the Industrial Production increased in thirteen Autonomous Communities. The greatest increases were registered in Comunidad Foral de Navarra (26.6%), Comunidad de Madrid (14.0%) and País Vasco (11.4%). In turn, the greatest decreases were registered in Principado de Asturias ( 9.2%), Extremadura ( 3.8%) and La Rioja ( 2.8%).
