2 Sponsor Package Thank you for your interest in sponsoring the first annual, (and first ever), Pensacola Mud Run. This package is intended to provide you with information about the run in the interest of attracting you as a Mud Run Sponsor. First and foremost, the Pensacola Mud Run is a fundraising event. All proceeds will go to benefit Pathways For Change, a 501(c)(3) organization committed to saving lives by changing the destructive lifestyle too often perpetuated by poverty, substance abuse and lack of education. Pathways for Change is an alternative sentencing path mandated by the Florida court system. We help young people and families know that they have a future as law-abiding citizens. They do not need to hang with the gang, give up hope or dreams, or settle for a life that is not what God has intended for them. We build futures for families by showing them how to live free of drugs and crime. Pathways for Change offers a comprehensive, caring vision. We assess each individual who comes to PFC for help and we offer assistance in whatever areas are needed. Pathways for Change has a success rate much better than that of the jail system. 80 percent of Pathways clients remain crime free compared to only 65 percent in the jail system. It is a 5k obstacle course situated on 150 acres north of Pensacola. There will be 12 obstacles to challenge participants. This is a family-friendly fun run. Runners can all expect to slip, slide, climb, jump, slog and swing their way to a fun finish where food, refreshments and showers are waiting. We will be running multiple heats including one for elite racers and a separate heat for kids. We will have timers running but runners will be responsible for their own time tracking. 3 A Variety of Ways to Get Involved Cash Sponsorships Sponsorships are available for various sites, obstacles and areas of the race. For example, each obstacle will have a corporate sponsor as will each water table and first aid station. Your signs, banners and logos will be seen as a vital part of the success of this fun event. There are several levels of cash sponsorships available. Each is listed on the last page of this packet. In-Kind Sponsorships Many of the material needs of the Mud Run are being met through product/service donations from companies. If you have a service or product that would be helpful, we are available to discuss an In-Kind donation. Please realize that the 12 Mud Run obstacles will be assigned to cash sponsors only. Food Vendors The Mud Run has a designated food sponsor who will be selling to the Mud Run competitors and guests. If you are interested in getting involved as an additional food provider, please contact us. On-Site Presence We will have a central area near the Start/Finish line that will serve as a staging area for the Mud Run heats as well as a gathering area for spectators. Nonfood vendors who wish to have display cabanas to attract new customers are welcome. Please contact us for arrangements. Volunteers Of course we would love to have you. 7 Obstacle #1 Dirt moguls - A series of dirt mounds followed by mud trenches no more than 2 feet deep. Obstacle #2 Tires - Roughly two hundred tires placed on the ground set in a pattern that the runners will have to step into and run through. Obstacle #3 Haystack - 12 round bales stacked on their side. Four wide with two rows as the base and the third row place on top in the middle of the two base rows. Obstacle #4 Post to Post Jump - Four rows of posts buried into the ground at least 3 feet and will be set at different heights above the existing ground grade. Posts are set at least 3 feet apart. The height of the tallest post above the existing ground grade is roughly 8 inches. There is also a mud pit that is 2 feet deep from the existing ground grade. Obstacle #5 Tunnel crawl - this obstacle has two designs Option One: 10 PVC tubes with an inside dimension size of inches that the runners will have to crawl through. The tubes are to be place on an angle with a mud trench in between. Five tubes per side. Option two: Tunnels that are 2 feet deep between inches wide dug into to the ground with no mud pit. Obstacle #6 Log hurdle - A trench that is 20 feet wide with a 40 foot long flat bottom and at least 32 inches deep. There will also be ramps on both sides of the trench that the runners can walk down into the trench and up out of the trench. Overall length is roughly 60 feet long. There will also be 7 logs placed on the existing ground grade which the runners will have to hurdle over. Obstacle #7 Angle wall - Designed to be at least 8 feet tall, 12 feet wide. On one side the runners will have to try to climb up the angled wall which is topped with plywood and as three rows of 3 foot ropes hanging down so the runners can grab and pull themselves up. On the other side we have two options Option one: is a ladder type design that the runners will have to climb down. Option two: is that we have a cargo net that the runners will have to climb down. Obstacle #8 Balance Beam - Three rows of logs placed at the existing ground grade. They are placed every 20 feet and support by a post buried into the ground at least 3 feet. The total length is approximately 100 feet. There is also a mud trench that is roughly feet long at the bottom with ramps on both sides.

8 Obstacle #9 Log Carry - design to have logs cut at different lengths and different sizes. Runners will have to carry one log a short distance on the course trail and then dropped it off where they originally picked the log up. Obstacle #10 Low Crawl - is a trench dug to a depth of 18 inches, roughly 40 feet long. Runners will have to low crawl the distance of the mud trench. Obstacle #11 Deep Freeze - Three lined 10 yard dumpsters which will contain water and ice no more than 3 feet deep. The runners will have to jump into the dumpsters and will have to get to the other side where they will have to climb out. There will be ramps that are a ladder type design on both sides for the runners to climb in and out of the dumpsters Obstacle #12 Dirt slide - is a large mound of dirt that the runners will have to climb up one side and then slide down the other which ends in a mud pit at least 20 inches deep and 20 to 30 feet long.
