3 Offshore vessels Custom made subsea vessels, platform supply vessels and wind mill support vessels The answer is a unique combination of various designs and skilled operators within shipbuilding. Today the challenge of providing operations and maintenance support safely and cost effectively grows. At the same time offshore wind developments move further offshore, into deeper waters with more extreme weather conditions. The requirement of stability and security is even stricter. How does keep pace with the rapid development? The answer is a unique combination of various designs and skilled operators within shipbuilding. has built a range of offshore vessels of various designs. Subsea construction support vessels, Platform supply vessels and windmill support vessels. Designs from Wärtsilä, Ulstein, Havyard and Sawicon has been executed at the yard. The aluminium competence at the yard has made it possible to introduce aluminium superstructures in some of these vessels, enhancing the load capabilities and increased stability. Experts in construction of various designs 1687 Vestland Cetus Offshore Vessels Offshore special vessels are vessels like platform supply vessels (PSV), survey vessels, ROV vessels, multi-purpose subsea construction vessels (MPSCV), seismic vessels and anchor handling and tug supply vessels (AHTS). Aluminium Constructions has the skill and knowledge to deliver various aluminium constructions for use offshore, including accomodation modules, towers, ROV hangars and more. The potential weight savings are about 50% compared with steal. 4 WindServer The WindServer concept sets a new standard for transporting service personnel and components for wind turbines. This is the new generation of offshore service vessels, increasing the window of operations. The WindServer allows for operations in tougher conditions, securing less downtime for vessel and crew. 5 ZeroCat The Zero Cat has capacity for 120 cars and 360 passengers, and will operate with ca. 10-knot speed. ZeroCat Emission free, maximum noise reduction and comfortable fjord crossing The ZeroCat is perfect for the many Norwegian ferry crossings. The Zero- Cat has capacity for 120 cars and 360 passengers, and will operate with ca. 10-knot speed. The ship s batteries will be recharged during breaks between crossings. The ZeroCat from is both a modern, environmental ferry and a full fledged car ferry. It is the world s first battery driven Electric 120 car ferry. The first ZeroCat concept ferry is under construction for NORLED, due to be delivered autumn ZeroCat World s first zero-emission car ferry The energy is stored on lithium-ion batteries onboard, charged with hydro power from the Norwegian local power grid. The contract is a result of NORLED winning the contract for a 10 year operation on the E39 fjord crossing Sognefjord. Low energy consumption will be crucial, and the ferry will be all aluminum for weight reduction. The hull will be of catamaran type to keep resistance down and all onboard systems are optimized for low energy consumption. Heat recovery systems will be included in ventilation and cooling systems and other technology like LED lights and solar panels will be used onboard. Special attention is given to the propulsion system where all components will be evaluated for maximum energy efficiency. ZeroCat 120 0CO 2 Zero-emission car ferry Using a battery driven ferry will bring significant environmental benefits. The ferry currently making the crossing uses an average of one million litres of diesel fuel a year and emits 2680 metric tons of carbon dioxide as well as 37 metric tons of nitrogen oxides. ZeroCat nominated to the Next Generation Ship Award The Next Generation Ship Award will be awarded to the ship project demonstrating the greatest advances in design. The electric car ferry now being produced at does not discharge to the environment, neither greenhouse gases, CO 2, methane or nitrogen oxides. Besides clear environmental benefits, the ferry will run with both lower operational and maintenance costs. Drydock for vessels up to 114 m length, 24 m width, 6,2 m depth in addition to a pit for azimuth thrusters. Travelling crane on dock with 45 T capacity. 500 T pullers in several locations. Accommodation for 50 hired personnel, a number of dedicated project offices and a fully equipped canteen is also available.
