7 MINDFUL BREATHING Breathe normally. Then with a long breath out make a SSSSSSSSSSSSSS sound like a snake. 1 WE ARE ALL THE SAME Snake Breathing TOPIC Bee Breathing Breathe normally. Then make a humming or buzzing sound like a bee as you exhale an extended breath out. Spaghetti Arms Stand up straight. How does your body feel? Is there any part of you that feels tense or yucky? Push your feet into the ground and tense every muscle in each leg, as hard as you can, now relax them. Wiggle them like cooked spaghetti. Do this a few times until you feel the difference between tense and relaxed. How are the two feelings different? Do this with your arms then stomach and finally your head and neck. Finally holding your whole body, really, really hard, hold for 10 seconds and relax. Wiggle your body like its cooked spaghetti. Do this 5 times. Feather Belly Breathing Lay on your back (if comfortable), or sit in a chair, and place a feather on your tummy. Practice making your tummy rise really high when you breathe in. When you can breathe through your tummy, see how big you can make it go without your feather moving. Can you do this 10 times without your feather moving? 7
