After the hunt, join us for crafts, games, and photos with the Spring Bunny. In case of inclement weather, the egg hunt will be relocated to the Takiff Center. Let your pup search for eggs filled with doggie treats and pose for pictures with the Spring Bunny. Don t forget to dress your pup in a festive hat to join the Spring Bonnet Parade! EARTH DAY CLEAN-UP 9:30 AM-12 PM FRIDAY, APRIL 22 Celebrate Earth Day with us by helping clean-up various sites throughout Glencoe. This is a collaborative effort between Glencoe Park District, School District 35, Glencoe Park District and the Village of Glencoe s Public Works Department. 3 GJHP BEACH BASH CO-SPONSORED BY THE GLENCOE JUNIOR HIGH PROJECT 2:30-6 PM FRIDAY, JUNE 3 GLENCOE BEACH GRADES 5-8 $15 Celebrate the end of the school year with a party on the beach! Join us for entertainment, Frisbee, volleyball, s mores and more! Food and drink included in admission. Please register at date subject to change. BEACH CAMP-OUT* 6 PM-9 AM FRIDAY-SATURDAY, JULY GLENCOE BEACH Spend an evening camping out with your family at Glencoe Beach in honor of National Camping Month! We ll start with an early evening cookout and, after the sun sets, enjoy a movie night on a large projection screen and roast marshmallows. All children must be accompanied by a parent; children under the age of two are free. Participants must pre-register by July 18. Every family participating must pay, even if they are not spending the night. Refunds will not be issued after July 11, In case of inclement weather, the make-up date will be August 12. Refunds will not be issued to participants unable to attend contingency dates in the event of inclement weather. More details are available on the online registration page. SPECIAL SAILING REGATTAS 12-4 PM GLENCOE BEACH $10/BOAT Participate in challenging, hands-on races set up by beach staff. Each race starts at noon and is approximately one hour. Boaters are invited to stay for social events following the race. To participate in a regatta, please register at the Glencoe Boating Beach the day of the event. Solstice Regatta: June 25 Commodore Regatta: July 2 Sailfest: July 16 SAND SCULPTING CONTEST* 1-2 PM SUNDAY, JULY 31 GLENCOE BEACH Bring your buckets, cans and sand shovels to our Family Sand Sculpting Contest! All ages welcome; prizes will be awarded for best castle, best animal, best sculpture, and most creative effort. AT THE BEACH WITH DORY* 7-9 PM WEDNESDAY, JULY 20 GLENCOE BEACH $16/19 R/NR (PER CHILD) ACTIVITY: Spend an evening at the Beach, searching for Dory and her friends! The evening will include games, inflatable fun, and time with Nemo s favorite friend. Recommended for kids ages 3-8 years old. Adult must accompany their child. Food is not included, but the concession stand will be open for purchases. Advance registration required by July 15. NEW! DOGGIE DIP 6-7 PM SEPTEMBER 16 GLENCOE BEACH Bring your dog to the Glencoe Beach for a whole lotta doggone fun! Owners can watch their dogs swim at Lake Michigan all while enjoying the company of other dogs in this fun-filled free event! Aggressive dogs, dogs in heat, or dogs under 4 months of age will not be allowed. Owners must clean up after their dogs. Baggies will be provided for clean up. Dogs must wear flat buckle /snap collars for controlling them while on the beach (no prong, choke, or training collars). All dogs should be up-to-date on their vaccines to participate. Dog owners must be 18 years of age or older. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. Follow us to fun! Fun and games at a different park each week! PLEASE NOTE: Glencoe Beach will be closed on July 4 in order to safely prepare for the fireworks show. For the safety and well-being of your pets, we ask that you leave your pets at home during the fireworks show.
