3 THE IDEA TOTEM BOOMBOX : A NEWLY DEVELOPED PROJECT OF VERY POWER- FUL MOBILE SPEAKERS WHICH ARE 100% MADE IN FRANCE. Totem Boombox is a project based on the construction of a new generation of mobile speakers, autonomous and ultra-mobile with a unique sound quality and 100% made in France. The goal: Offering the privilege to enjoy exceptional audio experiences at any time. Through its products, Totem Boombox seeks to create a free atmosphere, full of pleasure and joy for all - tribes - groups, circle of friends who usually share common activities and pleasures surrounded by music. Totem Boombox promises to create a unique environment for each tribe, through its products and thus meet the needs of everyone by releasing the emotions and bringing happiness through the very high quality music felt, accessible everywhere! Totem Boombox is the result of a mixture of common passions and values that its founders wish to transmit and share: music, freedom and emotion. In addition to the product s technical aspect, the ambition is to create the Totem culture and to gather the tribes around music. 6 HISTORY «A PRODUCT SYNONYMOUS WITH OUR LIFE PHILOSOPHY» This project is the brainchild of two friends Fred Giraud and Robin Cabé. Travelling together, they ended up in Glasgow, took up their engineering studies and also enjoyed themselves! It is in this city with its world renowned electro and culture club, that they felt the impact of the sound. During 3 years, they discovered this city which played a great role in their development and musical culture. Fred pursued an engineering mechanical design course and Robin became an engineer specializing in product design. With their passion for music, adventure, outdoors, and shared experiences, they explored the idea of a new generation of speakers. A new concept with nothing as such on the market. Speakers which are good to look at and with exceptional sound quality that will attract people. Speakers which are powerful, easy to use, with a great autonomy and above all, of high quality. The first prototype designed by Robin and Fred convinced them that such a product was possible but still needed improvement. whole world? For outdoor enthusiasts, for those who are together and far from everything! In 2015, Geoffrey Dromard, Samuel Castello and Felix Cottin joined the project. Bit by bit, Totem Boombox will build itself with the proposal of an original design and the creation of the brand. At the end of 2015, Totem Boombox optimized the details: How to minimize the weight of the speaker? How to minimize its size? And for the batteries, how to find the best combination between power and autonomy? The molds are made at the end of In February 2016 the first prototype VAG was born. Manufactured at Robin s house and assembled at the Tarmac, the startup incubator where Totem Boombox was now based in September Today, Totem Boombox is based in Grenoble in the heart of the French Alps.
