8 TOURNAMENT RULES Rules: Teams play round robin games, two divisions, each division 5 teams, play each other. Then teams according their standings in divisions play quarter finals, winners play semi finals and winners play final game. See schedule of PBW Games: 9 innings games and extra innings if necessary. After complete twelve innings and tie, visiting team hitter according batting order is at bat, but previous hitter of batting order is one first, previous last but one hitter of batting order is on second and visiting team is at bat, then same rules for home team at bat. If game is still tied after complete inning then game continues according same rule again up to win of one of the teams 10 runs mercy rule after 7th inning DH rule as in AL Standings: After round robin Team with best record is first, second highest record second... If two or more teams have same records we follow rules: 1. the team that won the game between the teams tied is on the higher position 2. the lowest runs allowed divided by number of innings played in defense in the games between teams tied 3. the lowest earned runs allowed divided by the number of innings played in defense in the games between the teams tied 4. highest batting average in the games between the teams tied 5. flip of coin Home team: First team on schedule is home team. Home team is at third base dugout. Uniforms: Official Ball Infield practice: Batting practice: If teams are equipped with two sets of uniforms, light and dark follow the rule: Home team in light color uniforms. Visiting team dark uniforms. The Tournaments Official Ball will be nominated by the Organizing Committee Only if field is available teams follow rule: Home team 10 minutes (starts 30 minutes before game) Visiting team 10 minutes (starts 20 minutes before game) Not available on tournament fields (Subject to change by Organizing Committee if previous game is finished earlier) Batting cages are available at around each particular field Maintenance: Staff starts 10 minutes before game PBW /14

9 FIELDS General Eagles Praha Complex is located at Prague 4 Krc, the complex is property of Eagles Praha Baseball Softball Club. The complex includes two major league size fields and three youth baseball fields. One major league size field and one youth field with lights. 11 CEREMONIES Opening Pitch: Tuesday 21, 19,25 (7,25 PM) Two teams scheduled for game are required to participate in uniforms Closing Ceremony: Follows final game June 25. During ceremony trophies will award first two teams and tournament best players. Trophies for teams will be awarded immediately after their last games of round robin. Individual Awards: Most Valuable Player - decided by Organizing Committee Best Hitter - player with highest BA and at least 50% AB of player with the maximum AB. Best Pitcher - pitcher with lowest ERA or the best W-L record, decided by Organizing Committee INSURANCE Medical: The Organizing Committee will provide transport to the nearest hospital (5 minutes) to the injured players if necessary Team Managers, Executives are responsible to assure, that their players have necessary international health insurance We do strongly recommend that all teams take out the necessary medical sickness insurance available through travel agents, international airlines or national baseball associations. Equipment The Organizing Committee suggests all teams to take out equipment insurance, in the case of lost baggage, etc. MISCELLANEOUS Flags Anthem The Organizing Committee provides national flags The Organizing Committee provides National anthems PBW /14

12 TRANSPORT Teams: Public transport: Taxi: Warnings: Teams fly to Prague Airport or arrive by bus or by cars Transport by bus takes minutes from the airport to hotels Includes subway called Metro, buses and trams. All of them run often. Transport is safe, clear, and inexpensive. Metro runs till midnight. Bus, tram nightlines are in service whole night. Tickets available at hotels, tobacco shops, Metro stops. Taxis are priced 35 CZK per kilometer and must be metered. Some drivers charge foreigners by high prices! 13 PRAGUE Climate Language Electricity Banking The city enjoys a comfortable Central European climate with average temperature C during late June, beginning July. Czech is spoken language, at most shops at downtown they speak German, English 220 volts Banks are open from 9,00(10,00) AM to 16,00(4,00) PM Monday to Friday Extensive electronic banking facilities are located downtown and can be used 24 hours per day. Currency Czech Crown (1 CZK) Rates of exchange vary from day to day. Banks provide best opportunities to exchange currencies. Current rates May 22, EUR 24,48 CZK 1 USD 17,19 CZK Time Prague is: the same time as Vienna, Bratislava, Vilnius six hours ahead NY Shopping: Shops in Prague generally open 9,00 AM to 6,00 PM Monday to Friday and varying hours on Saturdays and Sundays. In downtown some shops open every day. Eating: Tipping: A wide range of restaurants can be visited in downtown. European, American, Asian, Indian is served by suitable prices. Many famous international food franchises operate in the city. In restaurants where good service is provided (10-15% of the total price would be maximum). Telephone: Cell phones, operated by : Telefonica O2, T Mobile, Vodafone Laundry: In hotels or various companies provide dry cleaning, laundry, including pickup/delivery service. 14 SIGHTSEEING Prague Castle: Prague Castle complex is rich in historical Czech architecture and history. It features Saint Vitus Cathedral which began built in the 14th century and was completed in Other features of the Castle include the Romanesque St. George Church, the National Gallery housing the most complete collection of ancient Czech art, the Golden Lane where Franz Kafka once lived, and the offices of Czech President Vaclav Havel. Charles Bridge: The oldest remaining Prague bridge, construction finished 1402, connects the Old Town and the Little Quarter and features 30 statues of saints by leading baroque sculptors. A stone on each end makes Charles Bridge a very distinctive landmark of old Prague. Old Town Square: Dating from 12th century, a former market surrounded by gothic, baroque and renaissance buildings and featuring the Old Town Hall and its famous astronomical and real time clock with moveable figures, and Tyn Church built between the 14th and 16th century. Wenceslav s Square: This broad avenue runs from the National Museum to the entrance to the Old Town, lined by modern shops, and was the site of hundred thousands crowds that successfully demonstrated for freedom in PBW /14
