General Information Reputed as the first international medical instruments and equipment exhibition with UFI (the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) certification in China, the 21 st International Medical Instruments & Equipment Exhibition (China Med 2009) was jointly organized by the Health Department of General Logistics Department of Chinese People s Liberation Army, China World Trade Center Co., Ltd., Hui Tong Xingye International Exhibition (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd.. China Med 2009, held at China International Exhibition Center (New Venue), Beijing, China from March 19 to 21, 2009 with a total exhibiting space of 30,000 sqm, attracted 505 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions who displayed their latest equipment and technology to 26,408 trade visitors from 45 countries and regions. Visitor Analysis Visitor Source There were 26,408 trade visitors (including 2,300 overseas trade visitors) from 45 countries and regions,including 7,745 distributors and agents all over the country.besides, the Organizer particularly invited military delegation of 600 persons and civil hospital delegation of 431 persons with free food and accommodation. 6 V. Comments by Visitors This China Med is of great success, and we benefit a lot from it. The information from this event will definitely help us a lot during our future instrument and equipment purchase. The most appealing part of China Med for us is the chance to negotiate with foreign medical companies on dealership or technology cooperation. During the last few years we have cooperated with some companies from South Korea and Germany because we contacted them in the event. This year we are still interested in the foreign pavilions, and we hope there will still be fascinating cooperation opportunities. ----Mr. Wu from Jiangsu Though we have lots of choices for our instrument and equipment purchase, we are required by the officers of our hospital to participate in this exhibition held by the General Logistics Department of PLA every year.
