3 Download Instructions for Mac Downloading Cox Business Online Backup on a Mac Use the following steps to download Cox Business Online Backup on your Mac computer. 1. Enter in your browser to access Cox Business MyAccount. 2. Enter your username and password and click the Signin button. 3. From the Data menu in the left navigation bar, click the Online Backup link. 4. Click the Access Online Backup button. Figure 1. Downloads window The installation file is automatically saved to the download folder for your Web browser. The table below displays the default location of commonly used web browsers. If you are, click Save and place it on your computer. 6. Double-click the file name Cox_Business_CBOBsetup.dmg to open the install tool. Read the Welcome page, and then click Continue. The Welcome page provides access to additional resources to assist you during the installation and configuration of Cox Business Online Backup. 10. Read the Important Information page, and then click Continue. 11. Read the License Agreement, click Continue, and then click Agree. 12. Select the destination volume where you want to install Cox Business Online Backup, and then click Continue. 13. Verify the installation location is correct. If it is, click Install. Result: The installer requires that you enter your Mac's administrator name and password. 14. Enter the name and password, and then click the OK button. Figure 5. Installation Authentication window Cox Business Online Backup for Mac is installed to the root library folder of the System Preferences on the selected volume. 1. Click Close to exit the installation program and start the Setup Assistant. The Setup Assistant helps you register Cox Business Online Backup and connect to your online account. 6 Download Instructions for Mac The Cox Business Online Backup has a status icon that is located in the menu bar. 2. Click the icon to access the Cox Business Online Backup Preferences window and view additional information on the status of your backups. Important: If you install Cox Business Online Backup on a computer that will replace an existing computer, you need to restore all of the files backed up on the old computer. To do this, log in to your account online and restore from the Web because once your replacement computer is backed up, any files that are not on your new computer are marked for deletion from the CBOB servers after 90 days. 7 Download Instructions for Windows Downloading Cox Business Online Backup on Windows Use the following steps to download Cox Business Online Backup on your Windows computer. 1. Enter in your browser to access Cox Business MyAccount. 2. Enter your username and password and click the Signin button. 3. From the Data menu in the left navigation bar, click the Online Backup link. 4. Click the Access Online Backup button. Figure 6. Online Account Management window 5. Click the Download button. 8 Download Instructions for Windows 1. When the dialog box displays with options to Run, Save or Cancel the download, click the Run button. 2. Once the download completes, the setup wizard will start automatically. 3. Click the Install button to start the installation. Click the Yes button to proceed with the installation. Result: Once the installation is done, the Cox Business Online Backup Status window appears. 5. Click the Settings button. Figure 8.
