Release Infrmatin The infrmatin shuld be cnsidered as last minutes infrmatin and mst up-t-date. Machine Tending PwerPac 5.xx shuld be installed under the \Rbtics IT\ flder present at the same level as the Base applicatin i.e. RbtStudi 5.XX. The default installatin path fr the Machine Tending PwerPac 5.61 is \ABBIndustrial IT\Rbtics IT\. Pre-requisite sftwares AccessDatabaseEngine and AccessDatabaseEngine_x64 shuld be installed under \Prgram Files (x86)\cmmn Files\micrsft shared\ r \Prgram Files\Cmmn Files\ respectively. New Functinality f MTPP 5.61 New Tls Three KN series knee level grippers are integrated.

Custm statins can be cnfigured by selecting the statin mdel and its crrespnding templates fr RAPID (*.lib), EIO (*.cfg) and Smart cmpnent (*.xls). Creating statin smart cmpnent The statin smart cmpnent defines the wrking f the statin. An excel apprach is intrduced t define the behavir f new statins. The excel (*.xls) file defines the machine respnse (utput signals / jint mvements / bth) t input signals frm rbt cntrller. If user has the mechanism mdel and knws the behavir f the machine, this apprach will help t easily extend the mechanism t a smart cmpnent.

Changes in MTPP 5.61 Fig: erence t Operating Manual sectin Cnfigure Parts Path View The cnfigure parts functin has been mdified such that the part will nt have a physical mdel as it is nt used in the pwerpac. The PathView dialg is updated t reflect all the instructins f the rutines cnfigured in the Test Mve functin in a single sequence. This enables t easily verify the reachability and assign cnfiguratins fr the targets. Synchrnize t VC The Synchrnize t VC dialg has been extended allwing selectin f individual statin signals t be laded t cntrller.

Synchrnize t VC the statins. This creates the Smart cmpnents based n the new default excel templates and prepares fr executin. Knwn limitatins in MTPP 5.61 It is pssible t cnfigure a Prject fr single Rbt Task. If a statin template has mre than 10 targets then the numbering f the subsequent statins numbers must be manually adjusted t avid cnflicts. Limited supprt fr Und and Red peratins when using MTPP. Selecting custm statins Pre-cnfigured Smart cmpnents cannt be used fr cnfiguring custm statins. The statin Smart cmpnents are created based n the statin mechanism mdel and its crrespnding Excel template. Only statin mdels with a single mechanism can be imprted. Knwn issues in MTPP 5.61 In the Define cycles functin, when selecting statin rutines with arguments it is nt pssible t cnfigure the arguments within the dialg e.g. PROC Lathe_SelectPrgram(num PrgN). Wrkarund: This has t be dne utside, e.g. in the RAPID tab after lading the cycle mdule t cntrller. If a part name r statin prperties (name, template etc.) are mdified, then the references in ther dialgs (cycles rutines) are t be updated manually and the changes are t be synchrnized t the cntrller. During Synchrnize t VC frm MTPP, if the crrespnding mdule is pen in the RAPID tab in RbtStudi, then the mdule is smetimes nt updated. Wrkarund: Clse the mdule and sync again. While executing Prductin simulatin, the Cnfirm buttn is nt enabled fr a highlighted cycle. Wrkarund: Re-select the cycle t enable the buttn. While Cnfiguring HmeRun sequence when there are multiple mvement mdules, strategy fr cnfigured psitins which are unique t a mdule will be deleted when shifting between the mdules. Wrkarund : Ensure that the HmeRun is cnfigured fr the mdule with the mst number f mvement rutines and avid changing the views.
