4 INSTRUCTION MANUAL page 2 of UNIT DESCRIPTION GENERAL WAVE 1H is only ready for use with the supplied original accessories: cables, humidity sensor and thermal safety release. The humidity module is only used as a connection device for the WAVE 1 sauna control unit. For normal operation, the enclosed heater sensor with cable as well as the base unit are required SCOPE OF APPLICATION OVERVIEW/CLEANING Electronic control unit for sauna heaters with evaporator. The microprocessor-controlled control unit covers a control range of 30 % 85 %. The control unit controls the relative humidity. Maximum heater output: 3 kw. sensor It is essential to follow the installation instructions when wiring the components! OPERATIONAL MODE The control unit is ready for operation when all installations have been completed. By turning the thumbwheel, the humidity module is started and the operational mode can be selected. Cleaning of the housing The cleaning intervals depend on the degree of dirt collection. First disconnect all poles of the sauna control unit. Do not disassemble! Carefully wipe the front of the housing with a soft cloth slightly moistened with soapy water. Do not clean the back of the housing and the printed circuit board behind it. If required, call service personnel.

Installation material SETTING OF THE DESIRED HUMIDITY VALUE Set the desired humidity value by turning the thumbwheel. DESIRED VALUE EXCEEDS ACTUAL VALUE SAUNA OPERATION OPERATING AND DISPLAY ELEMENTS The control unit is operated by means of one thumbwheel, which protrudes from the unit laterally and, after starting, is illuminated with a red light. DESIRED VALUE CORRESPONDS TO ACTUAL VALUE OPTIONAL FAN CONNECTION At the humidity module, an optional fan can be connected, which automatically gets activated after the humidity operation. The fan is operated with 230 V AC voltage. The follow-up time accounts for 15 min. Afterwards, the fan automatically gets disconnected and the control unit changes to a static condition. If it is desired that the follow-up time is decreased, the control unit needs to be turned on and turned off after the desired time has elapsed COMPARISON OF ACTUAL/DESIRED HUMIDITY VALUE The desired humidity value selected via the thumbwheel is shown on the display as follows: green light: orange light: red light: low humidity value medium humidity value high humidity value The same colour system is used to show the humidity values measured inside the sauna cabin on the actual humidity value display. When the colours on both displays are identical, the desired humidity value corresponds to the actual humidity value.

6 page 4 of SAFETY SWITCH-OFF The sum of temperature in C and humidity value in % shall not exceed the value of ERROR DISPLAY The control unit is equipped with diagnostics software. During normal operation, various conditions are checked. As soon as an error is detected, the control unit stops and all operating symbols start flashing. For potential error causes please refer to the table below: Re-start only after switching off and switching on again! IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INFORMATION WARNING! This instruction manual is supplied together with the installation manual of the sauna cabin! Follow all instructions concerning the cabin construction. WARNING! The electrical connections of the control unit must be exclusively carried out by licensed specialists in accordance with the provisions of the local power supply companies. Use original parts only. WARNING! You should use a sauna heater that conforms to the following standards: EN and EN WARNING! Please note that the EN standard, table 101, dictates a maximum heater output dependent on room size. WARNING! Only one evaporator can be used, which automatically turns off when water shortage occurs. The control unit must be connected in strict compliance with these instructions! Only use the supplied original cables and original parts! We refuse to accept any responsibility for damage or consequential damage caused by any parts supplied by other manufacturers or parts that have been incorrectly connected. Check all cables for damage. Even cables with minor damage (e.g. squashing, etc.) are dangerous! Have such cables exchanged by service personnel immediately! 7 page 5 of 10 WARNING! The humidity module is ready for use only after all electronic & mechanical installations for normal operation have been completed. MOUNTING HOLES COMPONENTS INSTALLATION INSTALLATION OF THE HUMIDITY MODULE The humidity module is connected at the bottom of the base unit or at the timer module. Open the housing of the base unit and of the humidity module (sample illustration 1). The covers are removable. Break out the precut area at the bottom end of the housing and hook in the humidity module. At the corners are holes which are designated to screw in the housing (sample illustration 2). The electrical connection must be completed in accordance with the relevant standards! CABLE OUTLETS sample illustration 2 For cable feed-in, use a knife to cut respective pieces along the depressions and then break out the pieces. When closing the housing, make sure that the fixtures in the wave section (pos.1) are in place. The housing can then be closed by locking the fasteners at the back (pos.2) (sample illustration 3). sample illustration 1 sample illustration 3 OPEN WITH SCREWDRIVER CAREFULLY!

8 page 6 of INSTALLATION OF THE SENSOR LINES NOTE! The sensor must be installed with the utmost precision, as this is of decisive importance for the sauna climate. The sensor lines should not be installed together with power cables and should not be led through common holes, as this may cause electronic malfunctions! The sensor lines are not temperatureresistant therefore, they must be installed outside the cabin or in the cabin wall! INSTALLATION OF THE HUMIDITY SENSOR The (3-pole) humidity sensor is mounted at the centre of the farther side wall, at a height of about 1,5 m (refer to figure 8). The connection cable will also be routed through the cabin wall and runs outside/in the partition wall of the cabin FINAL INSTALLATION OF ALL MODULES AND CABLES Upon installation, all lines are fed into the power unit through the respective holes. Subsequently, all lines are connected in accordance with the terminal diagram ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS The connector pin assignment is always based on a left-to-right counting mode! NOTE! Disconnect all poles until all work has been completed and fuse prior to reconnecting! The connection of the sauna control unit must be completed by a licensed specialist (electrician) in accordance with the relevant standards. The cables used must comply with the relevant regulations. The guarantee period for the control unit is 12 months from the date of invoice. In the case of any complaints within such guarantee period, please return the control unit and enclose the guarantee form below, completed with your data and your distributor s confirmation, as well as the invoice. Failing this, we must assume that the guarantee period has expired.
