4 Product Range Busbars Safe and Reliable 1 2 Busbars of continuously extruded aluminum sections, insulated with a layer of polyamide. The busbar has a screen protected contact slot which ensures safety regardless of where on the busbar the switching device is placed. Personal safe, IP2X. 1.Layer of polyamide 2.Contact slot Slide 4

5 Product Range Busbars Ranging from 400 A to 2500 A Busbars are available with rated currents from 400 A 2500 A. 400 A 1600 A Busbars are available for substation and other applications, 1600 A 2500 A. Middle support to fulfill the requirement for short-circuit strength when applying a busbar longer than 1.25 meters. 8 Product Range Fuse switch disconnectors SLD 000, 100 A & SLD 00, 160 A 1- and 3-pole operated. Compact design to optimize use of space. The SLD 000 is one of the most compact fusegear on the market. Connectable conductor crosssection, Cu/Al mm. Type tested according to EN / IEC Linking knife fuses Slide 8

9 Product Range Fuse switch disconnectors SLD 1 for 250 A & SLD 2 for 400 A AC-23B according to IEC at 400 V. Possibility for parallel operation of several apparatuses. Connectable conductor crosssection, Cu/Al mm. SLD 2 tested up to 1000 V for installation in dry indoor environments. Slide 9

10 Product Range Fuse switch disconnectors SLDL 2 for 400 A, SLDL 3 for 630 A Meets requirements of IEC and 3-pole operated. SLDL is used in the low voltage part of substations and similar applications. To enable cable connection from above the rear section can be reversed 180º. Connectable conductor crosssection, Cu/Al mm. Possibility for parallel operation of two SLDL. SLDL does not fit in Kabeldon cable distribution cabinets. Slide 10

11 Fuse switch disconnectors Parallell operation SLD 2 and SLDL 2/3 can be operated in parallell together with specially made handles for simultaneous operation This enables maximum of 800 A for SLD/SLDL 2 and 1260 A for SLDL 3 Slide 11

13 Product Range Disconnector FD 3300, 400 A Disconnector with dependent manual operation. Intended for single pole breaking. Can be mounted and connected in parallel. By using the linking knives, the busbar can be disconnected without stopping the current from the incoming cable passing through. Slide 13

18 Product range Enclosures Three main product lines exists CDC the most commonly used product for cable distribution cabinets, foundation is an in integral part of the design. CDCP Enclosure designed for polemounted applications. CDC CDCM CDCP SDC a wider and deeper enclosure that allows installation of all switching devices with independent manual operation. XXX/M the M indicates possibility mount an additional enclosure onto the basic variant. SDC SDCM KSIK a powder coated enclosure designed for indoor use. KSIK Possibility of assembling and combining small or large applications with few enclosure sizes. Slide 18

19 Product range Enclosures High degree of protection to secure long life time The enclosures in the CDC and SDC ranges are made of sheet steel and are protected against corrosion by hot-dip galvanizing to IEC ISO For parts that are buried in the ground, the corrosion protection has been reinforced with an additional polymer coating. To ensure good adhesion of the polymer coating to the hot-dip galvanized surface, it has been pre-treated using a zinc/manganese phosphate process. The surface treatment gives excellent protection against corrosion, ensuring long enclosure lifetimes in those outdoor environments most commonly encountered. Automated surface treatment process to secure a high and stable quality level. Slide 19

20 Product range Enclosures Safe for public & installers IP34D protection as required by IEC 60529: Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code). The ability of the enclosure to withstand external blows and impacts is checked by testing at -50ºC in accordance with IEC requirements for use in an arctic climate. Slide 20

25 Installation & Operation Design for safety and excellent connection Mounted on insulated busbars with 85 mm phase distance. Busbar profile designed to ensure personal safety at installation and maintenance. Bolt connection is securing good connection between the apparatus and the busbar. Slide 25

26 Installation & Operation Design for easy and efficient installation Mechanical and electrical connection in the same operation. No metallic parts exposed during installation. Front cover is snapped on hence, no mechanical operation is needed. Slide 26

27 Installation & Operation Securing connection mechanical & electrical Visual inspection of correct connection to secure that the profile nut is correctly installed. Insulating hand tool when tightening the bolt connection, ABB has developed its own tool in order to secure personal safety. Only one tool is needed when performing the installation, for both installing the apparatus and the cables. Slide 27

28 Installation & Operation Clamp designed for good connection & safe installation SLD Sliding clamp for easy mounting of cable. Same type of clamp connection for all SLD apparatus. SLDL Protective hood used when connecting the cable from above on SLDL. The cable may be connected in SLDL with terminal clamp as well as bolt cable lug. Slide 28

29 Installation & Operation Design enables safe and solid operation 3-pole breaking is done by a distinct operation of the cover. A large angle in open position enables easy changing of fuses, details to be shown on next slide. Handle is available for parallel operation of two SLD 2, SLDL 2 and SLDL 3. Slide 29

30 Installation & Operation Safety operation when changing fuses SLD Power is always off when opening the cover for replacing fuses. Easily remove the cover for a safe and smooth change of fuse operation. SLDL Fuses are replaced by pressing springloaded buttons on the side of the cover. Wide open position enables easy switch of fuses. Slide 30

34 Accessories Mounting plates for Switches & MCCB s Adapter plates to fit the ABB Tmax T3 & T5 onto the insulated busbar. Meets the requirements of IEC SEKOD, switch-fuses rated 125 A 355 A fitted for Kabeldon busbars. The MCCB to be purchased separately. SEKOD is being delivered with the mounting plate integrated. 35 Accessories Integrated earthing devices Earthing devices which are snapped on are available for the entire SLD series. Enables good connection between earth and all three phases. Slide 35
