1 INTERNATIONAL STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM Institutional Information Sheet The Institutional Information Sheet (IIS) provides specific information on the logistics and exchange benefits for your particular host institution. Information contained in the IIS that is not under direct control of the host institution (i.e. transportation costs, estimated personal expenses) is subject to change without notice. 1. 2 5. Official Exchange Period Below are the beginning and ending dates of your exchange. These are the dates during which you will receive room and board benefits from your host institution. Participants on full year academic exchange will receive continuous benefits between terms. In making travel plans, you should allow enough time for both air travel and ground transportation in order to arrive at the host campus during regular office hours. ISEP Housing and Meal Benefits During Academic Sessions All ISEP participants must receive housing benefits and meals per week for the full period of the exchange. The benefits that your host institution expects to provide you are outlined below. If you have any special housing or meal needs, please notify ISEP and the host institution coordinator when you accept your placement. A. ISEP Housing and Meal Benefits during Vacation Periods Room and board arrangements will continue through vacation periods that occur during the participant's exchange. However, since some institutions close for longer vacations, these benefits may not be exactly the same during vacation periods as during the academic term. If you do not accept the arrangements made during vacation periods, your host institution is not obliged to make alternative arrangements. NOTE: ISEP benefits are not provided during the host institution's summer break, unless specially negotiated as part of the exchange. Housing benefits during vacation periods: Meal benefits during vacation periods: 14. Estimated personal expenses Tuition, room and board are included in your ISEP exchange. You are responsible for all of your personal expenses including: fees not required of all participants (e.g. computer, language, science lab fees), books, local transportation, entertainment, etc. The amount below is provided as a guide; the actual amount needed will vary depending on courses and personal habits. Your personal expenses per month, including books, are estimated at: 15.
