2 Call for papers CIPEG Annual Meeting Milano, 3 9 July 2016 EGYPTOLOGICAL LANDSCAPES: MUSEUMS, LIBRARIES, HISTORICAL PALACES AND ARCHIVES Every three years the International Museums community meets at the ICOM General Conference to discuss cultural issues and museum related questions on a large scale. The official topic for the 24 th ICOM General Conference in Milano is Museums and Cultural Landscapes: Building up a Cultural Heritage. CIPEG is happy to participate in this international forum and to have the opportunity to meet museum professionals from all various fields on this occasion. For the official program of the ICOM General conference check the Programme Highlights website: As part of the General Conference CIPEG will have its Annual Meeting from 3 9 July 2016 and herewith invites papers related to the theme Egyptological Landscapes: Museums, Libraries, historical Palaces and Archives. As is the CIPEG tradition, there is also an Open Forum for papers related to general museum work. During its Annual Meeting, CIPEG will take the opportunity to visit institutions related to the field of Egyptology in Milano and its environs. We very much look forward to meeting our colleagues in Milano and to explore a selection of the Egyptological Landscape of Italy: - The Egyptian Collection of the Civic Archaeological Museum in Milan - The Archives and Library of the Università degli Studi in Milan - Museo Egizio, Turin

Abstracts should be submitted as Word files and include your name, title, institutional affiliation (if appropriate) and full contact details. The deadline for receiving abstracts is 25 May 2016! 4 Post-conference Workshop Bologna, Civic Archaeological Museum July 2016 EGYPTOLOGICAL LANDSCAPES: MUSEUMS RESOURCES AND NETWORKS BETWEEN COLLECTIONS AND INSTITUTIONS Under the auspices of a recent cultural network that is benefiting from the involvement of the main Italian Egyptian collections, with which the Civic Archaeological Museum in Bologna has stipulated specific agreements, this workshop will provide an excellent opportunity to enlarge the discussion to other international relationships. Attention will be focused on resources, strategies, finalities at the basis of networks between collections and institutions and on future Egyptological landscapes. If you wish to attend the post conference workshop in Bologna with or without presenting a paper please inform us before 15 June 2016!
