3 Introductions to staff: Mr Tara Trip Leader Fourteen years teaching experience and vastly experienced in taking large groups of students abroad. This trips have included Barcelona (x4), New York (x2), Florida, Austria & Italy. Mr McKinlay Assistant Trip Leader Thirteen years teaching experience and previous trips include France. Specialist Art teacher providing daily insight into the life and inspiration of Antonio Gaudi. Mrs Charlesworth First Aider Fourteen years at Manor - Excellent relationships with all students due to her caring nature and empathy when offering support. Specialist support in Science and Attendence. Ms Elle Smith Trip Administration Curriculum support in all specialist areas within the school.

4 Considerations leading up to departure Baggage Allowance Option 1: Cabin bag of 50x40x20 inc. handles and wheels to travel with you Option 2: Cabin bag of 56x45x25 inc. handles and wheels, may have to go into the hold (no cost) Option 3: Check in 15kg bag at cost of 40, payable at check- in Liquids in cabbage 100ml into a transparent sealable bag Remember your passports European Health Cards Daily Euros allowance in a named envelope

6 Hotel Details Continental Bed & Breakfast Rialto Hotel Carrer De Ferran Barcelona Spain rialto.com/en/ Hotel Rialto is located in the popular Gothic district in Barcelona, next to the Ramblas. From here you can easily walk to the most emblematic landmarks in the city in just a few minutes, places such as Boquería Market, Plaça Catalunya, the Liceu theatre or the Cathedral, all of which are in the old town of Barcelona. In the nearby streets you can also find many bars and restaurants.

8 Daily Itinerary Day 1: Thursday 12 th February 2015 Students to arrive at Manor High School at 0830 and leave baggage in Main Hall. Passports and E- Cards to be collected by staff. Departure from Manor at 1100 using Jab Coaches. Check in for your flight from London Luton. Flight from London Luton departs at 1710hrs. Flight details EZY2267 Arrive in Barcelona at 2015hrs. Meet tour guide and transfer to Hotel Rialto, arriving at 2200hrs approximately. Check in for 4 night stay.

9 Daily Itinerary Day 2: Friday 14 th February 2015 Breakfast at hotel 0900 hours Day 2 cash to be distributed to students ( 30-50) Sightseeing tour with local guide in the morning. Afternoon remaining in groups visiting Bara Gothic and Gaudi Museum and heritage sites Return to hotel and refresh. Evening meal in Barcelona Pizza or Tapas

10 Daily Itinerary Day 3: Saturday 15 th February 2015 Breakfast at hotel 0930 hrs Morning visit to FC Barcelona Experience and Museum. Afternoon visit to Sagrada Familia Cathedral and Museum. Rebranding Barcelona: urban rebranding strategies and their impact. Return to hotel and refresh. Evening meal in Barcelona Fast food outlet in Mall followed by gift shopping.

11 Daily Itinerary Day 4: Sunday 15 th February 2015 Breakfast at hotel 0930 hrs Morning visit to Casa Mila. The sustainable city: a case study of Barcelona's planning approach to combining historical with modern architecture Evening meal in Barcelona Option 1: Barcelona V Levante football match dependent on ticket availability ( 30-40) Option 2: Montjuic Cable- Car ride for scenic views and photo opportunities of Barcelona at night ( 16)
