2 Teaching Steps Explain Prepare Most of you are not currently sexually active, but it is still important that you underst how protect yourself from unintended pregnancy. That way, you ll be prepared later. Today, we re going compare several birth control methods. Show Birth Control: Things Think About transparency. Assign each group a birth control method distribute corre sponding Birth Control Facts reading sheet. Show Presentation Guidelines transparency. Review presentation requirements with students. Have students work in ir groups read fact sheets develop ir posters presentations. (Note: A fact sheet is s 3A I included on emergency contraception. If you decide use this sheet, be sure emphasize that emergency contraception is not be used as a regular birth control method, but only when anor method fails or rape is involved.) People may have different reasons for preferring one type of birth control over anor. For best results, people should choose a method y like. That way, y will be more likely use it correctly every time that s best way prevent a pregnancy. Even really effective methods won t work if people don t use m correctly all time. There is no method that works equally well for everyone. It s important for people make an informed choice about method that is right for m.
