2 Application The Integrated Motor Drive (IMD 100) is a robust microprocessor-based drive containing all necessary functions for functional safety, motor control, sensor input and distributed IO. The IMD 100 is intended for wind turbine pitch systems interfacing to a Pitch master controller or directly to wind turbine main controller thru slip rings. IMD 100 is a motor drive and is also perfect for yaw control or other motor drive related functions. Self-test The IMD 100 automatically carries out a cyclical self-test at start-up. If any errors are found, they will be displayed by the error LED and the display. The drive will open the safety relay and give signal to the safety chain/relay. PC-SW Setup Setup is easily done via the USB PC connection and the IMD Manager, Windows based PC utility software. The PC utility software can be downloaded free of charge from The utility software offers additional features such as monitoring of all relevant information during test and commissioning, saving and downloading of settings and downloading of software updates.
