1 TSG/15 19 June 2006 UNITED NATIONS DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS STATISTICS DIVISION Meeting of the Technical Subgroup of the Expert Group on International Economic and Social Classifications New York, June 2006 CPC Ver.2 subclasses without explanatory notes
2 CPC Version 2 subclasses without explanatory notes The following is a list of all CPC subclasses that currently have no explanatory notes. Not all of them may be necessary (some have not existed in previous versions), but as a matter of completeness, it may be good to have a detailed note for each of those subclasses. Items in the list fall in two categories: - CPC subclasses for goods that have only a partial link to HS; therefore additional guidance is needed to define the exact scope of these subclasses (total of 49 subclasses) - CPC subclasses for services (including intangible goods) without an explanatory note (total of 54 subclasses) CPC subclasses in section 0-4 that are expressed through complete HS subheadings do not need explanatory notes, since the HS serves as a definition in this case. Excluded from this list are CPC subclasses related to agricultural and food products and fertilizers. Those are already being prepared by FAO. This accounts for 171 additional subclasses.
