3 1 Service Overview Capgemini offers a comprehensive suite of EMC Documentum solutions and services, including: Design Development Implementation Project Management Upgrade / Modernisation Support & Maintenance Migration to and from Documentum repositories Documentum Integration Roadmap and Strategy Consultancy and Proof-of-Concepts / Pilots Training and Enablement. These solution areas apply to EMC Documentum and the closely associated products and technologies from the EMC IIG (Information Intelligence Group) family such as: EMC Kazeon (ediscovery) EMC Document Sciences (document output management) EMC Captiva (for scanning and capture). EMC Enterprise Archiving Solution (enterprise information archiving). Page 3

This has been recognised by EMC by awarding Capgemini their Partner of the Year award for three out of the last four years. Capgemini is also a Strategic SI Partner for EMC IIG and we therefore have direct access to the vendor. Capgemini can therefore offer full coverage of the EMC IIG product set. We can offer you a proven and knowledgeable team of consultants with experience of implementing EMC solutions across a wide variety of projects and different clients, including local / central government and police and criminal justice. We also can provide proven methodologies for a number of solution areas (for example implementation, migration and roadmaps) that we can adapt to your needs and use to accelerate solutions at reduced cost. Capgemini is uniquely positioned in this space with collaboration at the heart of our business, defining how we engage and operate. At Capgemini we will work with you rather than for you in defining how Cloud approaches and software can best be integrated into your business and provide a successful outcome. Capgemini has been working in the area of Cloud Services delivery in the Public and Private sector since 2007 when we implemented the first Government cloud integration between the MOD and a third party travel management service. Our extensive experience of implementing and integrating cloud services for the public and private sector has been brought together into a number of standalone services which are offered as part of this G-Cloud framework. Capgemini has designed this service with particular reference to the Government Digital service Design Manual to ensure an alignment of recommendations and offerings to all departments and public bodies. To deliver this vision, we have created a cross discipline unit that provides a full menu of joined-up services (and end to end approach) to support the Government s commitment to deliver world class digital public services that place the Page 4

5 citizen s needs at the centre and help the Cabinet Office achieve its estimated 1.8 billion cost savings through its digital by default agenda. 3 The Capgemini Proposition 3.1 Approach Collaboration is at the heart of our business. At Capgemini we work with (rather than for) our clients to determine how Documentum and related products, solutions and services can best contribute to the success of your organisation. Capgemini are already delivering Documentum projects to many clients in the UK public sector. Our collaborative Business Experience is aligned with and compliments current thinking in Government, as published in the Government Service Design Manual. In other Government departments we are actively delivering real business value using Documentum technology and solutions. In the private sector we have also delivered a number of transformational projects using the Documentum product set. 3.2 Our Documentum Services Capgemini offers a comprehensive suite of Documentum, and related products, solutions and services from across the project lifecycle, which can be purchased either in combination or individually Documentum Design When Capgemini designs solutions based the Documentum product set, we first endeavour to understand the problem domain, the goals of the solution (both functional and non-functional) and the constraints under which the solution must operate. When evaluating solutions that might meet these requirements, we use our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Maturity Model and a number of criteria, such as: Product whether the solution meets the customer s requirements for purpose, functionality, security, non-functional attributes, development and stability of the developer group; Integration whether the solution meets the customer s requirements for modularity, support, and the options to link the product to other products or infrastructure; Use whether the solution meets the customer s requirements for user supportability in everyday use, and the support options that are available; Acceptance how the solution is received in the user community, and indicators of its ability to grow and develop as requirements change. Capgemini can then help to develop the Documentum Design that best meets your requirements. Typically our design services can include the development of the following: Page 5

6 Logical and Physical Design documentation Solution Architecture Document Technical Architecture Document. In addition, we can produce any other Documentum design artefacts as required and provide Documentum-specific input into other design areas, for example network and security Documentum Development & Implementation We have a large team of Documentum consultants who can provide a range of development and implementation services, across a number of skill sets and experience ranges. A key part of a successful Documentum implementation is ensuring that is it delivered by resources that have deep knowledge and experience of the product. Capgemini can provide resources that have worked with the product for over a decade and have experience of both small and the largest scale projects. When combined with our proven delivery methodologies, including AgileRUP (based on Agile) this provides proven, assured implementations with reduced risks and costs. We also can provide a range of development resources from junior developers up to senior developers responsible for all areas of technical development. If appropriate we can also provide an off-shore development capability using Capgemini s RightShore service. This can further reduce development costs for projects where security allows such resources to be used Documentum Project Management Documentum projects can be implemented using a variety of project management methodologies, including PRINCE2 and Agile. In our experience having a Project Manager who is experienced with Documentum projects contributes to the success of Documentum implementations. We therefore offer project management resources that are skilled and experienced in Documentum implementations Documentum Upgrade and modernisation Existing Documentum customers may need to upgrade their current solution, or look to take advantage of the new, more modern, Documentum client interfaces. Capgemini can provide a full range of upgrade services and modernisation consultancy. This can include migration assessment, planning and implementation using our proven upgrade methodology and our consultants who have delivered a number of successful upgrades for our clients. EMC has released a number of Documentum client interfaces, such as D2 and xcp2. This presents an opportunity for existing Documentum clients to reinvigorate / refresh their existing deployment. It also potentially presents an opportunity to replace expensive to maintain customisations with functionality that is now in standard product. We can provide services to help you evaluate and, if applicable, implement a refresh programme Documentum Support and Maintenance Page 6

7 We currently provide Documentum support and maintenance to a number of government departments of all sizes, including some with IL3 and higher environments. We can provide bespoke support packages to suit different needs Documentum Migration We have consultants who have executed numerous successful migrations from various source systems to Documentum. In addition we also services to migrate from Documentum to a new target system. Our methodology, called DocMigration, provides a proven, repeatable, framework for such processes. The methodology is broken down into key stages and deliverables and depending on your needs we can add or remove elements to match to your migration requirements Documentum Integration Documentum integrates natively with a number of other applications, e.g. Oracle, SAP, portals and other enterprise and desktop solutions. Capgemini has successfully delivered solutions using such integrations and we can use this experience to provide services to assist you with the successful deployment of these standard integrations. Alternatively we can provide services to extend Documentum s open API to provide custom integrations with applications where no native connector exists. Typically we would do this using Web Services, REST or another appropriate mechanism Documentum Roadmap and Strategy Services Clients beginning a Documentum implementation should have a roadmap and strategy for how their implementation will progress over both the short and long term (as their enterprise content management maturity levels increase). Alternatively you may already be using Documentum but have identified that no such roadmap or strategy is in place. We can provide services to define, document and implement such a strategy or roadmap to enable you to derive business benefit and return on investment from your Documentum implementation Documentum Consultancy and Proof-of-Concepts / Pilots Capgemini offers consultancy services around Documentum to assist clients in the selection and implementation of Documentum solutions. If you are implementing, or evaluating, Documentum we can provide design and implementation services to augment your team. In addition, we can also offer services to develop proof-of-concepts or Pilot applications to your requirements Documentum Training & Enablement Capgemini can provide both classroom and Internet based learning for product based knowledge transfer. We can also support a model of team enablement through pairing (a buddy system for development/support) or team based knowledge transfer to promote a hands-on learning approach that may be more effective learning than product based learning that we can tailor more to your needs. This enables our services to be delivered successfully, with reduced risk by using repeatable templates, and at the right cost. 4.1 Summary of Proposition Capgemini can provide individual services within each phase to support the client through the initial assessment, design, development, implementation, integration, configuration and training, or can provide a comprehensive service covering an entire Documentum implementation. The scope of the individual services to be provided will be determined after an initial discussion. 5 Pricing This service is priced in accordance with the SFIA Rate Card attached. Capgemini can also provide offshore resources at reduced rates where appropriate. Projects can be priced either on a Time & Materials or Fixed Price basis, subject to negotiation. 6 Rightshore Where required, Capgemini can provide experienced consultants from our overseas delivery centres at reduced rates.
