This guide is designed to introduce you to the College and provide you with the resources needed to begin this important step in your child s life. NTC offers associate degrees, which are two-year programs that combine technical skills with general education, such as math, communications and social sciences. NTC also offers one- and two-year technical diplomas that provide a focus on hands-on learning of occupational skills needed to be competitive in today s workforce. Career Pathways provide a framework for exploring college and career options. 6 Transferable Credit allows your son or daughter to continue their education... NTC is committed to providing options for students to continue their education with seamless transfer both into and from the College. Your son or daughter can earn college credit in high school with Dual Credit, an arrangement where students can earn both high school and college credit by completing courses taught in high school by college-certified instructors at no cost to the student or the school. High School NTC...and Beyond Josh completes Internet Marketing Strategies (3 credits) and Marketing Principles (3 credits) at his high school. He enrolls in NTC s Marketing program with two Dual Credit courses completed, saving nearly $800. He then transfers his Marketing Associate Degree from NTC to UW-Stout for a bachelor s degree in Business Administration with junior status. HIGH SCHOOL TECHNICAL COLLEGE UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATE DEGREE BACHELOR S DEGREE NTC also partners with more than 45 four-year colleges to provide transfer opportunities to students who wish to continue their education. Campus Events Campus Visit Days High school juniors and seniors, along with their parents, are invited to get an overview of NTC programs and services. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit local businesses hiring NTC graduates. Campus visits are held several times a year at the NTC Wausau campus.
