Substantial work in terms of data base building, base year calibration of economic and energy variables, and dynamic calibration of economic growth. Consistency with the previous version of the model was also ensured. - Careful work to represent the mitigation opportunities in the land use and forestry sectors. Soft link coupling to a detailed agricultural and land use model (GLOBIOM, developed at IIASA) with key information regarding the supply cost functions of biomass and marginal abatement costs in the land use and forestry sector.
