1 Job Description Job Title : Department : Reporting to (Job Title) : Crime and Security Incident Manager / Investigator and Port Security Inspector Fleet Operations Marine Security Deputy Head of Fleet Security No of Direct Reports : 0 Titles of Direct Reports: Not applicable Size of Department: Budget Responsibility (direct) : Nil Revenue Responsibility (direct) : Nil Date of issue: January 2014 Issued by (name): Adrian Prangnell Overall Purpose of Role : To manage the reporting and recording of crime and security incidents that occur on board Carnival UK vessels, to include those crimes and incidents that involve CUK vessels passengers and crew whilst ashore at ports of call. To provide an analytical capability in regards to crimes and security incidents reported as above to enable a proactive approach to reducing the occurrence of such incidents. To provide advice and assistance to CUK vessels when investigating crimes and security incidents to include, when required, travelling to the vessel concerned to assist with the investigation. Where required, to travel to ports of call to Liaise with relevant port authorities, inspect port security and if necessary, provide a security advance capability for CUK vessels attending these ports. 2 To ensure compliance with Corporate Security requirements in regards to travel to the various countries visited by Carnival UK vessels. Main Activities and Responsibilities Crime and Security Incidents, Reporting, Recording and Investigation: Manage the accurate and timely reporting and recording of crime and security incidents that occur on all Carnival UK vessels Ensure all crime and security incidents are reported in accordance with Company, Corporate and Flag requirements To advise Carnival UK vessels in regards to jurisdictional issues and best practice that impacts upon crimes and security incidents that are reported and/or investigated on board Carnival UK vessels To provide, where necessary, an investigative capability to Carnival UK to advise and assist with investigations into potential criminal acts emanating from shore side activities of Carnival UK To ensure crimes and security incidents are managed in accordance with contemporary standards of ethical and professional investigation To audit reports of crime and security incidents to ensure reports and investigations are completed in accordance with Company, Corporate and Jurisdictional standards and requirements. To establish and maintain appropriate relationships with investigative agencies within the UK and Internationally. To provide and maintain analytical products to assist with the management and reduction of crime and security incidents on Carnival UK vessels. Port Security Inspector Carry out Port Security Inspections as required, in regards to International Ship and Port Security (ISPS), Company and Corporate requirements, and report findings as required by Carnival UK and Carnival Corporation Establish additional security arrangements if required as a result of the inspection, and communicate these arrangements to the vessel and the Marine Security Department in a timely manner. Generate written port security assessments and report these as required by Carnival UK and Corporation Conduct security advances, reviews and assessments to various Page 2 of 6

3 ports or in respect of itineraries of particular concern. Where necessary, make recommendations for corrective actions and ensure timely follow-up is initiated to address any deficiencies. Ensure all Carnival UK vessels are in compliance with the requirements under CSECS 015 and CSECS 016 Shore Excursion Security: Provide security guidance to shore excursion operations and review shore excursion security procedures and conditions Monitor ports of call for Carnival UK vessels to identify ports with security concerns and then liaise with the shore excursion department to review and if necessary, to mitigate, any security concerns Where necessary, travel to ports to assess shore excursion venues and advance and manage the security around the shore excursion programme Research and identify potential crime and safety issues at our worldwide ports of call. Be responsible for communicating information on criminal methodology which could adversely affect Carnival UK passengers or crew in ports of call, to the appropriate Carnival UK and/or Corporate entities Health, Environment, Safety and Security Responsibilities (HESS) Lead by example by taking care of the health and safety of yourself and others Report all accidents, near miss incidents and work related ill health conditions to your manager/supervisor/team leader Follow safety rules and procedures Use work equipment, personal protective equipment, substances, and safety devices correctly Take part in appropriate safety training & risk assessments and suggest ways of reducing risks Actively promote safe working within your team and encourage safe behaviours General Responsibilities Adheres to Corporate Policies and Procedures, including Code of Conduct, Audit Procedures and any control related responsibility for financial data entered, stored, or reported via business systems within employees control (list not exhaustive). 5 Person Specification Job Title : Department : Crime and Incident Manager / Investigator and Fleet Security Inspector Marine Security Education, Qualifications and Training Trained and qualified in the investigation of serious and complex crimes Trained and qualified in the recording and analysis of criminal and security related incidents, to include the production of relevant analytical products Experience Recent practical experience in the investigation of serious and complex crime Knowledge of jurisdictional issues that affect the investigation of crimes at sea Experienced in providing advice and assistance regarding the reporting and investigation of crime and security related incidents. Work Based Competencies Competencies that refer to the specific work related skills required for successful performance in the role. (e.g. technological competence, written ability, numerical ability, relevant legislative or procedural understanding, analytical ability, organisational ability and project management etc. Proficiency in the use of computer business application with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and presentation programs.
