The Organizing Authority (OA) is RED BULL EXTREME SAILING (Anton Wallner Strasse 7 in 5700 Zell am See, Austria) and the affiliated National Yacht Club respectively. PRE-AMBLE Sailboat racing is a hazardous activity. Anyone intending to participate in or become involved with the Series either as a participant, Crew Member, Team Member or otherwise does so at their own risk and such individuals must recognise that they may suffer injury, loss of life, and/or loss or damage as a result of such involvement. The Organising Authority, The Series Managers, The Flying Phantom Class, The International Sailing Federation, and any other party involved with the Organisation of the Series disclaim to the maximum extent permitted by law any and all responsibility whatsoever for any loss, damage, injury or inconvenience that might occur to persons and goods, both ashore and on the water, as a consequence of participation in the Series. Those participating in or otherwise voluntarily becoming involved with the Series recognise that such exclusions and indemnities on the part of and for the benefit of the OA and others involved in the management and organisation of the Series (including, without limitation the Series sponsors) are appropriate and reasonable in the circumstances and recognise their own obligation to secure appropriate insurance and to bring this notice and these exclusions and indemnities as well as those set out below, including those in the Commercial Agreement, to the notice of any third party whom they involve or seek to involve in any way in the Series. RISK STATEMENT RRS Rule 4 of the Racing Rules of Sailing states: The responsibility for the boat s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone. Sailing is by its nature an unpredictable sport and therefore inherently involves an element of risk. By taking part in the Series, each competitor agrees and acknowledges that: a) They are aware of the inherent element of risk involved in the sport and accept responsibility or the exposure of themselves, their crew, and their boat to such inherent risk whilst taking part in the Series;

2 b) They are responsible for the safety of themselves, their crew, their boat and their other property whether afloat or ashore; c) They accept responsibility for any injury, damage or loss to the extent caused by their own actions or omission; d) Their boat is in good order, equipped to sail in the Series and they are fit to participate; e) The provision of a Race Management Team, patrol boats and other officials and volunteers by the OA does not relieve them of their own responsibilities; f) The provision of patrol boat cover is limited to such assistance, particularly in extreme weather conditions, as can be practically provided in the circumstances; g) They are responsible for ensuring that their boat is equipped and seaworthy so as to be h) Able to face extremes of weather; and there is crew sufficient in number, experience and i) Fitness to withstand such weather; and that the safety equipment is properly maintained, j) Stowed and in date and is familiar to the crew. INSPECTIONS The fact that the Race Committee conducts inspections of a boat does not reduce the responsibility of each competitor set out in the NoR and SI. 1. RULES 1.1. The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) Flying Phantom Class Rules will apply except as modified by the Red Bull Sports Directors and or their representative 1.3. Safety Regulations & Requirements will apply if presented If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence RRS 44.1 and RRS Appendix P2.1 will be changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty. 2. ADVERTISING 2.1. All branding and advertising at the event on shore and on the racecourse shall be exclusively controlled by REB BULL EXTREME SAILING Competitor advertising will be restricted as follows: Team branding and advertising that is pre-approved by RED BULL EXTREME SAILING may be displayed on designated areas of crew clothing; no other branding shall be displayed. Each team is responsible for the costs associated with this branding Boats shall be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the OA. 3. ELIGIBILITY 3.1. Each crew member shall be at least 16 years old on 01 January 2016 and under 20 years old prior to 31 December The maximum number of teams is The minimum number of teams is 8. The Organizing Authority may cancel the event if the minimum number of 8 entries has not been received by midnight 20 April Competitors will be notified of cancelled events by and posting on the event website The OA and local sailing club may invite teams by wild cards.

3 3.5. Competitors under 18 years of age shall present a signed and completed parent (guardian) consent and declaration form at registration. The forms can be downloaded from the event website The Sport-Directors at any point during practice and or during competition can remove a team(s) from the event if it is felt the skill sets required on the water are not at the level to ensure fair and safe practice and competition Each crew member must hold a passport in the country where the event will be held and may only enter one RBFG event for qualification to the Red Bull Foiling Generation Final Each crew member shall be a member of a club affiliated to a national authority of World Sailing. Each member of a German club shall be registered on the website of DSV. 4. ENTRY 4.1. Eligible boats shall enter by completing the online entry form on the online entry system not later than 20 April 2016 and sending a short sailing CV plus passports (helm and crew) to the OA (regatta@kyc.de) After the entry period an entry committee decides and invites all 16 teams until 01 May As soon a team receives the invitation the team has got 3 days to pay the Entry Fee online on 5. FEES 5.1. The Entry Fee for each team shall be 250 Euro. 6. DAMAGE AND INSURANCE 6.1. An initial damage deposit of 500 EUR shall be paid at registration, unless extended by the OA. This deposit is the maximum payable by the skipper as a result of any one incident If a deduction from the damage deposit is decided by the OA, it may require that the deposit be restored to its original amount before the skipper will be permitted to continue in the event Any remaining deposit after the event will be refunded after the event 7. FORMAT Addendum A shows a knock out series with four boats racing each other. The 2 first boats will advance to the next round until there is the final race where the first boat is the winner of the event. The Sport Directors or their representative can modify this formant anytime to ensure the completion of the event based on conditions. This could include the use of seeding, elimination or addition of brackets to ensure a fair and complete event. The winning team of each national event may than sail in a final event against the other national winning teams. 8. SCHEDULE 8.1. Subject to adverse conditions, and subject to the final venue schedule, each event will normally consist of three days of racing unless otherwise stated in the program. Day 1, 25 May Training Day 2, 26 May Training Day 3, 27 May Qualification round Day 4, 28 May Quarter and Semifinal Day 5, 29 May Final 8.2. The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first day is hrs.

4 9. BOATS AND SAILS 9.1. The event will be sailed on Flying Phantom boats Four (4) boats will be provided The following sails will be provided for each boat: Mainsail, Jib and Genaker Boats will be allocated by draw, either daily or for each stage as decided by the Race Committee. 10. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS The sailing instructions will be available at least 20 days prior to the first scheduled race. 11. SUPPORT BOATS All support boats shall be registered with the Organizing Authority and will be required to comply with local legislation and event support boat regulations. The Organizing Authority may refuse registrations and accept later registrations at their sole discretion Registration fees shall be EUR Support boats shall be marked with a flag provided by the OA Support boats shall organize their berthing by themselves. Please contact the local sailing club. 12. RADIO COMMUNICATION Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats unless directed by the OA. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones. 13. PRIZES Prizes may be awarded to the winner of each national event. The overall winner of the Series will be awarded the Foiling Generation trophy. 14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY COGNOVITS CLAUSE The responsibility for the decision to participate in a race or to continue with it is solely with the skipper; to that extent the skipper also accepts full responsibility for the crew. The skipper is responsible for the qualification and the correct nautical conduct of the crew as well as for the suitability and the transport safe condition of the registered boat. In cases of force majeure or on grounds of administrative orders or for safety reasons, the organizer is entitled to make changes in the realization of the event or to cancel the event. This does not constitute any liability by the organizer towards the participant, if the reasons for the changes or the cancellation do not result from a willful or grossly negligent behavior of the organizer. In case of a violation of obligations that do not constitute primary or material contractual duties (cardinal obligations), the liability of the organizer for financial and property damages incurred by the participant during or in connection with the participation in the event and resulting from a conduct of the organizer, its representatives, servants or agents, is restricted to damages that were caused willfully or grossly negligent. When a violation of cardinal obligations occurs due to minor negligence, the liability of the organizer is limited to foreseeable, typical damages. To the extent that the liability for damages of the organizer is excluded or restricted, the participant also relieves the staff employees and representatives, agents, servants, sponsors and individuals who provide or drive salvage, safety or rescue vessels or assist with their use from the individual liability for damages, as well as also all other individuals who were instructed to act in connection with the

5 realization of the event. The effective racing rules of the World Sailing, the administrative regulations regatta-sailing and the articles of association of the DSV, the class rules as well as the regulations of the invitation to the competition and the sailing instructions are to be complied with and are expressly recognized The German law shall prevail. 15. INSURANCE Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover 500,000 Euro per incident or the equivalent. 16.
