CSC s Guided Paths technology intelligently guides the user through classifications that allow the automatic assignment of properties to be applied to a given document. Additionally, through the use of managed data dictionaries for most property fields, this functionality virtually eliminates the possibility of users entering incorrect data or misspelling values and thereby enforcing data integrity. Guided Paths can also be used to display a subset of values based on the user s login credentials. FLEXIBLE RULES-DRIVEN WORKFLOWS FirstPoint provides easy to configure workflow templates, allowing business administrators to define business rules at both the route and step level. This provides greater flexibility and control when creating workflow templates and allows organizations to create fewer workflow templates to fully support end-to-end business processes. FirstPoint workflows can be configured to launch manually or automatically to facilitate routing documents from draft through review to eventual approval. Going one step further, FirstPoint provides a utility that copies all FirstPoint configurations to be applied to another SharePoint installation. This is ideal for quickly creating multiple environments within your enterprise (Production, Validation, Test, etc.). BULK IMPORT UTILITY TOOL FirstPoint s Bulk Import Utility Tool imports multiple documents into FirstPoint within a single batch. In addition to the documents themselves, the bulk import utility can apply property values for documents en masse.

The portal consists of configurable Web Parts for major functions such as Create and Import Documents, Workflow Tasks, and Search. The portal can be used as a default web page or in conjunction with other applications such as a Clinical Portal or corporate intranet site.
