4 Introduction In order to guarantee a safe and efficient usage of your device, we recommend you to follow the instructions provided in the guide. Your device installation, usage and maintenance should be done as stated in this guide otherwise will be excluded from the warranty. 5 Technical Specifications of Water Heater In order to control temperature of water inside the device, there is a thermostat sensor which is able to connect to thermowell element. On our water heaters, there is a connection sleeve for electric heater and thermostat which can be added later if needed. Because the device is connected directly to the water system network, there will be no need for an additional water storage tank with a water gauge. In cases of the high pressure, automatic pressure relief valve should be installed to the cold water inlet to provide full safety by decreasing the pressure. The inner surface of the water heater is enamel coated in accordance with DIN 4753 standards. Protection against corrosion is provided by magnesium anode is which located in the device. Outer body is protected against corrosion by reduced lead content coating with electrostatic powder paint. Our water heaters are manufactured in accordance with EN and TS 736 standard. The most important things to be considered in water heater equipments are safety valve and expansion tank. They should be connected26to the system.

6 Main Elements of Water Heater Serpentine: The coil is placed in each water heater according to their capacity. Circulating hot water in the coil which is connected to a boiler or a solar collector, heats the cold water in the water heater. Magnesium Anode Rod: Electrostatic charge in the system draws on the magnesium anode rod, the rod consumes itself, and thus prevents corrosion. Depletion rate of the anode depends on the quality of the water. The anode should be checked once in a year and should be replaced biennially. Double Wall: Double wall which has the appropriate heating surface, is placed into horizontal type solar water heater. Hot water which is come from solar collector, heats the cold water in the water heater travelling around the double wall. Optional Heating Resistance with Thermostat: It is used supplement heating and/or against frost with 2 kw power resistance in the horizontal type products. Pressure Reducer: In case of water pressure of the system exceeds the optimal allowable pressure of the device, pressure reducer must be installed on the connection line. In case of high pressure in water heater, it would discharge the device s water. 6

7 System Fittings Valve: It is used as an installation element that allows or stops the flow of water into system. Safety Valve: In case of high pressure in the boiler, it discharges the water. Check Valve: It allows fluid moving within the system to the desired direction and blocks the fluid flow to the opposite direction. Filter: It is used to keep unwanted substances in the form of particles which can be found in the liquid that comes into the system. Expansion Tank: It adjusts pressure fluctuations that can occur within the system. Pump: It enables the circulation of fluid used in the system. Manometer: It is used to represent the pressure value inside the system. Thermometer: It is used to see the temperature of the liquid used in the system. 7

8 Device Settlement and Installation Guidelines Mounting location should be determined to suitable product size. For the placement of the device, suitable base needs to be done to a smooth and strong surface to support the weight of the boiler. The device should be placed into an indoor place or an area with no danger of freezing. In order to minimize energy loss from the pipes, water withdrawal points should be as close as possible to the water heater. In order to make the device work effectively, the system which water heater connected to, should be done according to scheme below and the heating resources should be chosen related to hot water need. Installation equipments connected to the device must comply with TSE standards. Valve, strainer, automatic safety valve, check valve and drain valve should be installed in order with same inlet diameter to the cold water inlet line. Electrical water heaters should be grounded(earthed). While working on the device s electrical connections, the supply circuits must be cut. Automatic safety valve and expansion tank should always be installed between the 23 water heater and the valve.

12 Activating Please do not start to operate your water heater before you make sure that it is fulfilled with water and its cold water inlet is available. Please check all connections and pipes for a possible leakage. Whenever you want to deactivate the water heater, please disable the hot water inlet first then the cold water inlet. The water heaters with electrical instruments should be earthed first, while working on the electrical connections, please be sure that electric connection is inactive. Electrical Wiring Connection Optional resistance s working voltage is 220 volt AC. (If demanded, it can be 380 volt AC) If the system is 110 volt, please ask your electrician to put 110/220 volt 2000 watts transformers. If the fuse amperage is less than 16 amperes, please change your fuse. Please use at least 3x1.5mm cable to complete resistance s connections. Electric connection of device must be done by qualified electrion. Please do not forget to earth the product. We do not take the responsibility of the problems may occur, if the product is used without 19 earthing

13 Periodic Maintenance and Cleaning It is suggested to clean inside of the water heater from the cleaning flange for possible limes, dirt and pieces which can come with system water. If the product is with electrical instrument, please disable electric connections. Please be sure that the elements like valve, check valve, strainer, security valve, expansion tank and thermometer are in good condition. Please put out and clean the filter of the strainer periodically. The magnesium anode should be checked every year. The frequency of changing the anode can also be determined after the first control. The quality of the water is important for the life of anode. If the magnesium anode s diameter is less than 12mm, it should be changed. (Original diameter is 26mm) When the water heater is deactivated, please be sure that the tank is empty to prevent possible freezing problems. When cleaning inside of the product, please be sure that you do not damage the enamel inside. After cleaning inside of the product, please be sure that the connections of cleaning flange, thermowell (sensor) and thermostat, are safe and there is no leakage. The gaskets on the product are appropriate for use only once. For any reason, do not re-use the gaskets of parts dismounted. Please contact the seller. 13

14 Things To Check Before Calling Authorized Service A. If the electrical heater (optional) is not working; Electricity might be off, The switch might be off, The building s main fuse might be off. B. If hot water does not come from the tap; Water Works might be off, The hot cold water valve might be closed. The strainer might be full and out of order. C. If water comes from tap but not hot; Heating system or solar collector might be out of order, Even the heating system works, circulation pump might be off. 14

If there is not enough hot water coming from the water heater; The product capacity might be lesser than the need, The hot water might return to the system because of not using check valve, There might be a problem with automation system. E. If the safety valve on water heater is leaking water; The water work s pressure might be 6,5 bars or more, There might be dirt in the safety valve gasket. 15
