There are battery back-up or stand alone systems from 5kwh to 15kwh a day and will give two to three days autonomy in really bad weather when you have had little sun to top up the batteries The off grid systems come with solar power to charge the batteries and are AC coupled which means you can use the additional power generated during the day from the large solar arrays supplied with the systems to power appliances and pumps. 3 SYSTEM TYPES SFK Power Box 600 The SFK Power Box 600 comes in two battery sizes, with a daily battery output of 11kwh to 17 kwh a day with 5kw of solar panels as standard giving a maximum solar daily output of 20 kwh per day, with options to add up to 10kw of solar and a maximum daily output of 40kwh making this a very versatile system indeed. 7 GRID CONNECT BATTERY BACK UP/SOLAR STORAGE UNITS Grid connect backup systems are for homes or businesses that lose power and require immediate back up to the grid. When the grid fails, you can draw from 5kwh to 17kwh per day with our biggest system before you would need the power back to recharge the batteries. Ideal for places that have intermittent brown outs but where the grid is usually restored within a day or two at most.
