8 JUNIOR COURSES What? A balanced programme of English language lessons, sporting and creative activities and cultural excursions a classic English study holiday A safe, supervised environment based at a leading UK government college Lessons, activities and excursions all developed specifically for the age group Our International Department helps with issues such as registration, welfare, medical concerns, accommodation, airport transfers and visas Groups can make special requests including visits to particular places, trying different activities or studying specific subjects in closed groups, such as academic study skills Who and When? English language lessons with adult-focused activities and excursions, with an emphasis on developing key language skills and cultural understanding Based exclusively on our Cheltenham campus, with full support facilities available for self-study and research Additional afternoon classes with options to work towards specific qualifications, or to focus on accuracy, fluency and vocabulary building Flexible social programme coordinated by the Adult Course leader Our International Department helps with issues such as registration, welfare, medical concerns, accommodation, airport transfers and visas Who and When? Adult courses from 18+ (16+ by arrangement) Elementary to Advanced abilities welcome Courses run through July and August, from 2 to 8 weeks, with start dates every week New Parent and Child Course We can now offer learning and play for young children aged 1 to 8 years. 14 Accommodation Where you will stay Students stay with carefully selected local host families homestay. Rooms are single or shared, with single rooms guaranteed for adults. All shared rooms are with students of a different nationality. Breakfast, packed lunch, and dinner are provided, seven days per week, as well as weekly laundry Families are sent details about the students in advance, together with the social programme timetable, and arrange to collect students after evening or weekend events and upon arrival/departure where necessary There is an emphasis on regular spoken English in the home putting into practice what students have learnt in class Students are made to feel part of the family. Host parents are available to talk to before and during the students stay. How we choose your homestay Host families are carefully chosen according to student needs and requirements, including dietary/religious/ allergy needs All families are visited for suitability, and full background checks are carried out All families are regularly advised and updated on standards and requirements for students, including on food and nutrition Accommodation Most families have been used for many years and understand the college and our students needs. 14 The most important thing for us is that students quickly feel a part of our family.
