Entries must be made trough FIE website. REFEREES : Referees will be designated by the FIE and Turkish Fencing Federation. ENTRY FEE : An entry fee of 60 per fencer for individual event and 400 per team for team event will be given to the organiser during accreditation. FORMULA : According to the FIE rules. DOPING : Will be carried out according FIE regulations. VISA : The countries who need a visa must send to Organizing Committee by e- mail or fax copies of the passport for each member of delegation. 4 TURKISH FENCING FEDERATION INFORMATION: Second year the Turkish Fencing Federation organizes training camp in Antalya-Belek. Antalya Fencing training can take place in the sports hall of the Hotel Riu Kaya Belek (3 (3.000m²). Hall will be open each day between 9:00-13:00 and 15:00-20:00 Schedule of training for each team will be prepared after consultation with the team coaches and head of the camp. Notice: In n the days of competition training are available after 17:30. 7 2. Accreditation Accreditation will be distributed to all fencers and coaches at the time of registration at the competition venue. The registration desk will be located at the entrance to the sport venue. 3. Weapons Control for the Athletes Weapons control will take place in the competition venue. Thursday, 14 March 2013 from 17:00 to 19:30 Friday, 15 March 2013 from 09:00 to 15:00 Saturday, 16 March 2013 from 08:00 to 16:00 Sunday, 17 March 2013 from 08:00 to 16:00 4. Information Points Information displays are planned to be situated in the entrance area of the venue. Please note: Only fencers concerned, the referees, and the piste assistants will be allowed to enter the fencing area as defined by the barriers. Access to the fencing area will be subject to control by attendants. Fencers who are in the fencing area are required to keep their equipment in a closed fencing bag at the end of the piste, and these must be removed straight away at the end of the match. All fencers and referees are required to be present: For the poules on the piste 10 minutes before the start of the bouts For table of 64 on the piste 15 minutes before the start of the bouts Attention: If it is possible, matches can start 5 minutes before the scheduled time. 5. Competitions INDIVIDUAL The following information will be displayed at 15:00 on the evening before the competition: The list of fencers entered The FIE official ranking for the event The qualifying poules, including the timetable and piste number for each poules. 3

8 Poules (Friday 15 March) The poules which are published the evening before the competition will not be changed except in extraordinary circumstances. The poules must be exclusively of 7, or 6 & 7. Among the fencers entered, the top 16 of the FIE rankings are exempt from the preliminary round. (art. o.31.3) In the case of one of the top 16 fencers entered not presenting him or herself at the event, their place in the table remains empty and the national federation of that fencer must pay the FIE a fine of 500. (art ) After the round of poules, the top 16 fencers classified in the rankings (cf. o.19) are exempt from the preliminary table. In the case of 2 or more fencers being ranked equally at 16 th place, these fencers must fight a barrage to 5 hits to determine who is placed in 16 th place. (art. o.32.2) Final table from 64 fencers ( Saturday 16 March) 16 exempt fencers. 16 top ranked fencers from the qualification poules. 32 fencers qualified from the preliminary table of qualification. Please note: There will be no verification of the fencers involved the night before the competition. Confirmation of results It is the responsibility of the fencers to ensure that the results of the poules and their direct elimination fights are recorded correctly. To avoid any sort of error, the DT will publish the poules results and the list of qualifiers and eliminated fencers after the round of poules following the completion of all poules. The delegations have 5 minutes to submit any disputes. The table of direct elimination, with timetable and piste numbers will be displayed after the time of protest has expired. No calls will be made over the microphone for the poules and for the matches in the DE table for qualification or the table of 64 on the second day. Organization of the table of 32 through to the final All fencers winning their matches in the table of 64 must go immediately to the weapons control in the call room. Special places indicated by barriers designated for coaches will be found on each colored piste. The coaches may not leave this area except during the minute break. A specific protocol will be applied from the table 32, 16 and 8. Fencers (dressed in full fencing attire) and the referees will be escorted by volunteers from the call room to their respective pistes. 4

9 The representative of the Weapon Control delivers the weapons in a fencing bag to volunteers who will join the fencers and referees when they are escorted to the colored pistes. Special places indicated by barriers designated for teams will be found on each colored piste. The team members may not leave this area. A specific protocol will be applied from Table of 8. The fencers (dressed in full fencing attire) and the referees will be escorted by volunteers from the call to their respective pistes. PRESENTATION OF THE FINALISTS The 4 finalists will be presented on the piste to the public before the start of the semi-finals with their fencing credentials. The team finalists (3rd place and final) are presented to the public on the piste They will present themselves in full fencing attire, with a weapon in their hand. o They salute the public with the guard to their chin. o The referees of the final are presented as well.
