1 These prtcls are designed t prvide camp experiences t ur families with an increased fcus n preventing the pssible spread f general illness and COVID-19. We have evaluated all aspects f ur summer day camp prgram and made adaptins t meet this gal. These guidelines are based n recmmendatins frm the CDC and the State f Pennsylvania and are subject t change. General Guidelines Campers may nly bring essential items such as sunscreen, bathing suit, twel, peanutfree lunch, snacks, water bttle, hats, sandals/crcs, and a change f clthes fr yunger campers. Parents shuld disinfect everything that cmes hme in the backpack each evening. Befre cming t camp, parents must screen their children daily fllwing these guidelines: Check fr fever, ral temperature r abve r Tempral thermmeter 99.5 r abve. Evaluate yur child fr symptms f Cvid- 19 as utlined n the chart belw If anyne has a fever r displays ne symptm in clumn A r tw symptms in clumn B, the Health Department recmmends that yu islate fr 10 days and/r get tested fr COVID-19. Additinally, yu may nt attend the prgram until the islatin perid is ver r yu receive and share a negative test result. If a member f the camper s husehld tests psitive fr Cvid-19, r is waiting fr results f a Cvid test, the camper will nt be permitted t attend camp until results are shared. In situatins when a member f the husehld des test psitive, ne f the CYEDC Health & Safety Leaders will cntact the family t discuss quarantine and return t camp timelines. If yur camper is expsed t a psitive case f COVID-19, ntify the Camp Directr and a YMCA Health and Safety Leader will cntact yu with quarantine resurces and return timelines. N Visitr Plicy - N visitrs, including parents, will be permitted beynd their cars withut prir apprval and screening. All Campers will bserve stable grupings fr scial distancing. A stable grup is a grup f children that stays tgether thrughut the day/week. Masks will be wrn by all staff, campers and adults per State f Pennsylvania requirements. Any adult r child entering the camp lcatin must g thrugh the Health Screening Prcess, which is cmprised f Health Screening Questins, a visual inspectin fr symptms, and a temperature check using a tempral thermmeter. 1

2 Screening Prcess-at the camp facility Temperature Check (n admittance fr temp f 99.5 r higher using tempral thermmeter) Questin: D yu have symptms utlined n the symptm chart r taken a fever reducer tday? Questin: Is anyne in yur husehld psitive fr Cvid-19 r waiting fr results f testing fr Cvid-19? Questin: Have yu traveled utside the state f PA within the past 14 days? Persns displaying a temperature f 99.5 r higher, r answering yes t any questins abve, will nt be permitted t return t camp withut a fllw-up cnversatin with the Camp Directr and/r Health and Safety Leader. The latest published guidelines fr travel restrictins will be enfrced as utlined by the PA Health Department. Registratin Registratin fr the upcming week clses n Wednesday at 6pm. Camp Directrs must make sure that everyne has cmpleted all required paperwrk (included epact) and all payments are cmplete. Calls will be made n Thursday/Friday ntifying families that their child cannt attend unless all registratin material is cmpleted by Friday at 9pm. Emergency cntact infrmatin needs t be cmplete In the event an authrized drp ff r pick up adult is expsed t Cvid-19 and recmmended t quarantine; anther individual will need t transprt the child. Camp Staff Screening upn Mrning Arrival Upn arrival, staff will reprt t an identified check-in lcatin. Staff will receive a temperature check and answer the screening questins. After screening, staff will be directed t the hand washing statin t wash their hands using sap and water. Staff are expected t self-mnitr fr signs and symptms f COVID-19 and ntify their supervisr if any develp. Child Arrival - Drp ff /Sign in Prcess Drive thrugh limited cntact drp ff prcedure will be used. Parent/Adult MUST always wear a mask during the drp ff and pick up prcess. In general, adults shuld NOT exit their car and must wear a mask if they d s. One staff persn will apprach the car windw and: Ask the adults the Health Screening Questins Take the child s temperature and bserve fr any signs f illness. Lg in the arrival time Ask if there is any medicatin t be drpped ff. The campers will then be escrted t their grup, by a staff persn. Staff shuld nt tuch the child unless necessary. Staggered drp ff times will be implemented where pssible. N payments r paperwrk will be accepted at drp ff. Electrnic draft payments will be encuraged. Staff are expected t mnitr children fr signs and symptms f illness and ntify the supervisr immediately if symptms develp. 2

3 Child Departure/ Pickup Prcess Parents will infrm the staff they are at the YMCA, then cars will enter a pickup line. N parents shuld park and get ut f their car except t buckle children int seatbelts. Child will be called t the pick-up area using radi cmmunicatin. Staff members will assist the child t the car aviding cntact and maintaining 6 ft. physical distancing as pssible. The staff persn will lg in the departure time and name f the adult picking the camper up. Staggered pick up times will be suggested. Grups (per PA Dept. f Health Guidelines) Stable grups will remain the same fr the entire week. Stable grups will nt cmmingle with any ther grups. Scial Distancing/Stable Grups Scial distancing requires a cmbinatin f several prcedures. Children will be required t wear their mask at all times f the day including utside when scial distancing is nt feasible. Scial Distancing during Drp-ff & Pick-up time will be accmplished by physical demarcatins amng age grups within a space. Stable Grups, thrughut the day, will functin as a chrt f children and staff that stay tgether. Staff will maintain the 6 ft. recmmended distancing frm each ther, whenever pssible. Grups shuld enter camp areas when thse areas have been vacated by ther grups and disinfected prir t the new grup using the space by Camp Staff using YMCA supplied prducts. Camper Grups and staff shuld remain at least 6 feet apart at all times. Staff must refrain frm any physical cntact with parents and campers including, but nt limited t; side hugs, high fives, shaking hands and pats n the back. Camper Orientatin Camper rientatin, n the first day f every sessin, will include: A discussin n the need t be attentive t scial distancing and scial engagement. Scial distancing maintaining safe spaces between thers and stable grup cncept. Handwashing areas and disinfecting statins hw t wash yur hands - 20 secnds minimum using sap and water and apprpriate use f disinfectant. Cntinued reinfrcement t keep hands away frm face. Sneezing and Cughing etiquette cugh r sneeze int yur flded elbw r int a tissue. Tissue needs t be dispsed f in a trash can and hands need t be washed immediately. Respect ther peple s belngings avid tuching ther peple's backpacks, persnal water bttles, and nt tuching ther campers, etc. Handuts will be published and sent t parents via regarding hw we are ging t discuss the need fr scial distancing at YMCA s they can review with their children. 3

4 Hand Washing fr Staff and Children Hands shuld be washed upn arrival at Camp, mving between lcatins, at the end f the day as well as: BEFORE Eating, handling fd r feeding a child Giving r applying medicatin Playing in water AFTER Using the tilet Being utside Handling bdily fluid like runny nses, sneezing Handling garbage Schedule will als include as needed washing times. Ensure that all hand washing lasts fr at least 20 secnds. Hand washing with sap and water is preferred t hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer is an ptin but must be maintained in a safe manner and can nly be used n clean hands. Even after using hand sanitizer, hands shuld be washed with sap and water as sn as pssible. Prgram Plans Areas shuld be free f clutter and unnecessary supplies and equipment. Sft surfaces shuld be remved and avided when they can be. Seating shuld be at least 6 feet apart. Tables need t be f a surface that can be cleaned and disinfected. Supplies shuld nt be shared by campers/staff and any supplies used shuld be cleaned and disinfected (i.e. scissrs, markers). Dispsable items shuld be used when pssible (i.e. Ppsicle sticks in small cups f paint instead f glue bttles). Identify Camp Directrs and ther Camp staff t help develp activity plans and resurces with adaptatins fr different age grups in each f the prgrammed areas. Meals Hands need t be washed befre and after eating. Campers and staff need t sit in stable grups, with 6 feet between grups. If staff assist an individual camper, they need t disinfect their hands befre eating r helping anther camper. All campers need t dispse f their lunch trash themselves. Campers will wash dwn their picnic table with sap/water after eating, which will be supplied by Facility Staff each mrning. Staff and Training The Camp Directr is respnsible fr mnitring adherence t YMCA COVID-19 prtcls. All Staff cmplete a COVID-19 specific training prir t their first day f wrk. 4

5 Cleaning and Disinfecting Cleaning and disinfecting need t ccur n a regular basis during the day, using YMCA supplied prducts. The entire facility is thrughly cleaned and fgged after clsing each day. Cleaning lgs are maintained thrughut the facility, ensuring cleaning prtcls are fllwed. Cleaning supplies are prvided t Camp staff by the Facility staff. Illness (suspected COVID-19) Child r Staff persn with signs f any illness will be remved t an identified sick area. Staff will be trained n the lcatin and usage f the identified space during training. If it is used/ccupied by suspected persn w/ COVID, then the rm must be left vacant fr 24 hurs befre being disinfected, after being ccupied. Symptms will be evaluated including temperature check. Children may nt be left alne in the sick area. Parents will be asked t immediately pick up their child (within 45 minutes f ntificatin). The staff member will be sent hme fr self-quarantine until test results have been cnfirmed. In the event, a child r staff member tests Psitive fr COVID-19, YMCA Health & Safety Leaders will cntact the lcal Health Department, fllw all instructins and guidance, and ntify anyne wh may have had cntact r pssible expsure, prviding resurces and guidelines fr quarantine. Staff and/r students wh test psitive are required t ntify the YMCA site directr as sn as pssible. Enfrcement The Camp Directr is respnsible fr all cleaning and disinfecting prtcls, as well as t maintain the Area Disinfectin Lg and ensure all staff are disinfecting the camp areas as stipulated. The Health & Safety Officer, Branch Executive and ther YMCA staff will spt-check and mnitr cmpliance with the Disinfectin Lg schedule. Staff wh are bserved nt fllwing and enfrcing plicy/prcedure will be retrained as sn as pssible. Failure t fllw r enfrce the COVID-19 Prtcls may result in disciplinary actin up t and including emplyment terminatin. 5
