Livestreamed Masses Each weekend, the Mass celebrated here at St. Vincent is livestreamed and available to view on the St. Vincent de Paul Facebook page ( facebook.com/svcape/). The video is also available to view after Masses on the parish website ( Most of the live feeds will be at the 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening Mass to allow for the longest viewing time. In the second reading today, St. James has harsh words for those who do not put their faith into action. May we be such good stewards of God s gifts to us that we can never be accused of having faith that does nothing in practice. Diaconate Ordination With gratitude to God, the Society of Jesus announces the Ordination to the Diaconate of David Alan Kiblinger, S.J. on Saturday, September 18, at Saint Ignatius of Loyola Church, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. David is the son of Deacon Mark and Debbie Kiblinger and a former member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. The ordination will be livestreamed at 10:00 a.m. EST at Please keep David in prayer as he is ordained a transitional deacon and awaits his ordination to the priesthood next year. Blest Art For centuries, the Holy Land has suffered from wars and disasters leading to a rapid decline of numbers to a mere few thousands. Then the pandemic dealt a severe blow to the livelihood of the Christians who made their living from olive wood carvings and catering to religious pilgrims from all over the world. At Blest Art, the plan is to continue marketing olive wood carvings and helping Christian families secure a continued source of income during these difficult times. Blest Art will be available for purchase in the gathering area next weekend, September The carvings make beautiful gifts for all occasions. Blest Art accepts all payments including cash, credit, checks and post-dated payments. Elderly religious need your help. Many sisters, brothers, and religious order priests served for years in Catholic schools, hospitals, and parishes often for little or no pay. Now, many religious communities do not have enough retirement savings and struggle to provide for aging members. Your gift to next weekend s Retirement Fund for Religious collection helps provide medications, nursing care, and more. Please be generous. Council of Catholic Women Council of Catholic Women Deanery 6 will have their quarterly meeting on Tuesday, September 21, here at St. Vincent de Paul Parish. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:10 p.m. in the Church followed by Mass at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will follow in the parish center (school gym), There will also be a silent auction and a business meeting. All ladies are welcome and encouraged to attend! IS CATHERINE S CUPBOARD ON YOUR GROCERY LIST?
