1 Taking F5 F9 session CBEs in September 2016 If you would like to take a F5 F9 session CBE in the launch sitting you will need to book a BPP Professional Education ACCA course towards the September 2016 sitting. Please note that you can choose any ln Centre location, Online Classroom Live or Online Classroom course, however you must be able to attend ACCA's London exam centres to sit the exam. Step 1: Book on a BPP course to September 2016 Choose the paper you would like to sit and which mode of study by looking at our September 2016 Dates and Prices Step 2: Register your interest online Register your interest for a F5-F9 session CBE using the form on BPP s dedicated F5-F9 session CBE webpage BPP will then contact you within one week of registering your interest commencing the 27 th May 2016 Step 3: If you are still unsure about the F5-F9 session CBEs and would like more information, register for one of our free webinars using the same form on BPP s dedicated F5-F9 session CBE webpage You cannot register for a session CBE directly with the ACCA for the September 2016 sitting, so if you want to do a session CBE you need to register your interest with BPP and we will process your exam registration. If you want to sit a paper based exam as normal, then please follow the usual process and register with the ACCA. 2 Closing date for final confirmations/changes/cancellations with BPP ACCA will begin processing exam entries provided by BPP Final deadline for CBE booking changes Wednesday 27 th July 2016 (12pm) Wednesday 27 th July 2016 (12pm) Monday 1 st August 2016 ACCA will process all confirmed bookings and any late changes to existing confirmations Advice for students AFTER 27th July 2016: ACCA processing exam entries advice ACCA will process all exam entries by 1st August 2016 o An exam entry acknowledgement will be sent to you confirming your exam entry once this has been processed you should ensure your address is correct on your myacca account. o Once you have been entered, your myacca account will be debited with the early entry exam fee(s) you are encouraged to make payment to your myacca account at your earliest convenience. o You can expect your exam docket to be available 3-4 weeks in advance of the September 2016 exams. Requesting amendments following submission of exam entry spreadsheet o Any student wishing to make a change to their exam entry after 27th July 2016 should contact september2016@accaglobal.com by 1st August o You should state your student number in all responses. o You should be mindful that any amendments continue to follow progression rules.

3 Can I register for the F5-F9 session CBEs through ACCA? No. For the September 2016 exam diet, you can register for any paper based exams directly with ACCA as normal. If you want to sit a session CBE for F5-F9 in September 2016, you need to book this through BPP, being one of the approved Learning Providers for the September 2016 launch sitting. From the December 2016 exam session onwards, you will be able to book both paper based and computer based exams directly with ACCA, via myacca. This will be through a new exam entry system which will be launched ahead of the December standard entry closing date. What is the cost of the F5-F9 session CBE exam? The cost for all F5-F9 session CBEs for the September 2016 sitting is the Early Exam Entry price of 93. Paper based exams will follow the usual early, standard and late pricing structure which you can review on the ACCA website. How do I pay for the session CBE? BPP will pass on your details to ACCA and they will register you for your session CBE, at the same time ACCA will debit your account with the early exam entry cost. This will happen between 27 th July 2016 and 1 st August You will need to clear this debit from your myacca account before you sit your next exam. What is the exam date and time? F5-F9 session CBEs will take place on the same dates and times as the F5-F9 paper based exams: Where can I sit the F5-F9 session CBEs? For the September 2016 sitting, the only UK location where students can sit the F5-F9 session CBEs will be London, at an exam centre in Hammersmith. Please note that these will not be the same exam centres where you can take the on-demand ACCA or FIA exams. For December 2016, F5-F9 session CBEs will be available in selected ACCA exam centres: Birmingham, Bristol, Chelmsford, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Maidstone, Manchester, Reading and Stevenage Who will confirm my session CBE? BPP will contact you within one week of registering your interest (from the 27 th May) to ensure we have your correct details and to confirm your choice of CBE and intent to sit the F5-F9 session CBE. On 27 th July 2016, ACCA will receive the complete list of F5-F9 session CBE students and will begin processing your booking and you will receive you session CBE confirmation from ACCA by 1 st August 2016.

4 What is the deadline to register for the session CBEs? You can register for the exam via BPP on our website up until midnight on Sunday 24 th July After this point you will no longer be able to enter for a session CBE. You can still enter for a paper based exam after this point, with the standard exam entry date of 1 st August 2016 and late exam entry date of 8 th August 2016 however you must register for this directly with ACCA as normal. What happens if I fail my session CBE? If you fail your F5-F9 session CBE in the September 2016 exam sitting, you will be given a priority place to re-sit this exam as a session CBE for the December 2016 sitting. ACCA will manage this process after the September 2016 results are issued on 17 th October Can I cancel my session CBE after it has been booked? Yes, you can cancel your booking with BPP at any point up until 12pm on Wednesday 27 th July After this point any cancellation requests should me made directly with ACCA by ing september2016@accaglobal.com by1 st August Are there limited seats for the September 2016 session CBEs? Yes, BPP have been allocated 150 seats session CBE places for each of the F5-F9 session CBEs for the September 2016 exam sitting. We recommend that you register your interest as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointment. BPP will contact you within one week of registering your interest commencing from the 27 th May. We will notify you well in advance of the standard exam entry deadline if we are unable to enter you for the exam due to capacity restrictions. How are seats for the F5-F9 CBEs allocated i.e. is it a first come first served basis? Yes, exam seats for the September 2016 session CBEs are allocated on a first come first serve basis. Do I have to attend a BPP course to sit a session F5-F9 CBE? For the September 2016 exam sitting, ACCA have partnered with selected learning partners, of which BPP is one. You must book on a BPP ACCA course for the exam you will be sitting to be eligible to enter for the session CBE. This can be any of the following - Online Classroom - Online Classroom Live Taught and/or Revision - In-Centre Taught and/or Revision What happens if I do not sit a course with BPP? If you do not sit a course with BPP then we cannot enter you for a session F5-F9 CBE. You can still book the paper based exam as normal via myacca. Can I sit more than one session CBE? Yes, you can sit the same number of session CBE exams as you would for a paper based exam. These are the current ACCA exam rules: You can attempt up to a maximum of four papers per examination cycle. There are two examination cycles per year: 1 February to 31 July and 1 August to 30 January.

5 Can I sit another Skills Level paper based exam at the same time as a computer based exam? Yes. You need to book your paper based exam with ACCA as normal, via myacca. Please also note that as part of the BPP session CBE booking process we will also be asking you to confirm which paper based exams you are sitting for completeness of information. Can I sit a Professional Level paper based exam at the same time as an F5-F9 session CBE? Yes, if you are sitting your final skills level paper/s at the same time as your first professional level paper/s you can sit these in the same exam sitting in line with normal ACCA rules. Due to the exam entry process for the September 2016 session CBEs you will not be able to book your professional level paper based exam straight away via ACCA as your skills level paper/s will show as outstanding. You should register your interest for the F5-F9 session CBEs via the BPP website As part of the BPP session CBE booking process we will also be asking you to confirm which paper based exams you are sitting and you should inform us of all exams you intend to sit in September 2016, including any professional level papers. When BPP pass your exam booking details to ACCA after the 24 th July, ACCA will process your session CBE and your professional level paper based exams.. Your session CBE and paper based exam will be charged at the early exam entry rate and this will be debited to your myacca account. Your myacca account then needs to be cleared prior to sitting any further exams. What happens if I book a paper based F5-F9 exam with ACCA but change my mind and want to sit a session CBE instead? You should register your interest to sit the session CBE with BPP via the BPP website BPP will then contact you to confirm your details and intent. When BPP pass your exam booking details to ACCA after the 24 th July, ACCA will process your session CBE. If you already have a paper based exam booked, ACCA will assume your preference is the session CBE and cancel your paper based exam booking and book you on the session CBE instead. You cannot be entered for the same exam for both exam modes. How are the session CBEs structured? The F5-F9 session CBE structure mirrors the structure of the paper based exam, being a combination of Objective Test Questions, Objective Test Cases and longer written Constructed Response Questions. Specimen exams for both the paper and computer based exams can be found on the ACCA website. When will the session CBE results be released and how are we notified of results? Session CBE results will be released at the same time as the paper based exam results and the September 2016 exam results will be released on Monday 17 th October You will be notified of your exam results in the same way as paper based exams.
