12 Does Honors require... Extra time? NO! Honors students should graduate in 4-5 years, provided they are full-time students and do not change majors multiple times. 12 Extra Coursework? NO! Honors does NOT require additional courses. Many Honors courses Honors meet General Education or major requirements. Extra Effort? YES! The Honors College requires all students to participate in undergraduate research, community engagement, and write senior theses

13 Scholarships Honors College Scholars $2,000 ($8,000 over four years) Will be awarded to incoming Honors College freshmen who have demonstrated great potential, motivation, and commitment. President s Scholars $2,500 - $10,000 (Up to $40,000 over four years) President s Scholars will have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75, an SAT score of at least 1200 (Math and Verbal combined), or an ACT score of at least 27.

14 Admissions Admission to the Honors College is competitive. Selection will be based on a comprehensive review of application materials, including written essays, letters of recommendation, and SAT/ACT scores. To receive priority consideration for scholarships and admission, apply by January 31.

15 How to Apply Step 1: Apply to CSULA through Step 2: Mail the Honors College application checklist, along with two letters of recommendation, scores, and official transcripts, to the Honors College. Step 3: Log on to GET using your CIN and PIN. Special Note: PINS will be sent out after Nov. 30, Step 4: Click the SELF-SERVICE button to access the online application link- APPLY TO HONORS COLLEGE. PRIORITY DEADLINE - JANUARY 31
