2 Please Kneel As the Priest enters carrying the Ciborium with the Sacred Host to be exposed upon the Altar all kneel and join in singing: Hymn 938 Soul of my Saviour Soul of my Saviour, sanctify my breast; Body of Christ, be thou my saving guest; Blood of my Saviour, bathe me in thy tide, Wash me with water flowing from thy side. Strength and protection may thy Passion be; O Blessed Jesus, hear and answer me; Deep in thy wounds, Lord, hide and shelter me; So shall I never, never part from thee. Guard and defend me from the foe malign; In death s dread moments make me only thine; Call me, and bid me come to thee on high, When I may praise thee with thy saints for aye. The Blessed Sacrament is then incensed and after pausing in silent prayer at the sanctuary step the priests and sanctuary party move to their places The priest and people join in praying aloud the Adore Te Devote Adore Te Devote We devoutly adore you, O hidden God, truly hidden beneath these appearances. Our whole hearts submit to you and in contemplating you we surrender ourselves completely to your will. Sight, touch, taste are all deceived in their judgment of you, but hearing suffices firmly to believe.

3 We believe all that the Son of God has spoken: there is nothing truer than this word of Truth. On the Cross only the Divinity was hidden. We believe and confess both and we ask for what the repentant thief asked. We do not see the wounds as Thomas did, but we confess that you are our God. Make us believe more and more in you, hope in you, and love you. O Memorial of our Lord s death! Living bread that gives life to mankind, grant our souls to live on you and always to savor your sweetness. Lord Jesus, good Pelican, wash us clean with your blood, one drop of which can free the entire world of all its sins. Jesus, whom now we see hidden, we ask you to fulfill what we so desire: that on seeing you face to face, we may be happy in seeing your glory. 5 Priest: Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase your mercy within us, that following your example in all things we may be merciful to others and submit ourselves with greater confidence to your most holy will. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. All: Amen While the Priest incenses The Blessed Sacrament, we join in singing: TANTUM ergo Sacramentum Veneremur cernui: Et antiquum documentum Novo cedat ritui: Praestet fides supplementum Sensuum defectui. Genitori, Genitoque Laus et iubilatio, Salus, honor, virtus quoque Sit et benedictio: Procedenti ab utroque Compar sit laudatio. ALL: Amen. Priest: Panem de caelo praestitisti eis. (T.P. Priest: Let us pray: O God, who in this wonderful Sacrament left us a memorial of Thy Passion: grant, we implore Thee, that we may so venerate the sacred mysteries of Thy Body and Blood, as always to be conscious of the fruit of Thy Redemption. Thou who livest and reignest forever and ever. ALL: Amen. Please remain kneeling while the priest elevates the Blessed Sacrament and gives Benediction with the Monstrance

Blessed be his most Sacred Heart. Blessed be Jesus in the most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete. Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most holy. Blessed be her holy and Immaculate Conception. Blessed be her glorious Assumption. Blessed be the name of Mary, virgin and mother. Blessed be St. Joseph, her most chaste spouse. Blessed be God in his Angels and in his Saints. Reposition of the Blessed Sacrament As the Blessed Sacrament is reposed and carried by the priest from the Altar to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel the congregation are invited to follow the sanctuary party in procession. We join in singing: HYMN 924 Brother, Sister, let me serve you Brother, sister, let me serve you, let me be as Christ to you; pray that I may have the grace to let you be my servant too We are pilgrims on a journey, we are trav llers on the road; we are here to help each other walk the mile and bear the load. I will hold the Christ light for you In the night time of your fear; I will hold my hand out to you, speak the peace you long to hear. I will weep when you are weeping; when you laugh I ll laugh with you. I will share your joy and sorrow till we ve seen the journey through.

7 When we sing to God in heaven we shall find such harmony, born of all we ve known together of Christ s love and agony. Brother, sister, let me serve you, let me be as Christ to you; pray that I may have the grace to let you be my servant too. After the Blessed Sacrament has been returned to the Tabernacle we move in silent procession to the Lady Chapel. The priest incenses the image of Our Lady and we join in singing the Marian Antiphon: Salve, Regina, mater misericordiae: Vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra, salve. Ad te clamamus, exsules, filii Hevae. Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes In hac lacrimarum valle. Eia ergo, Advocata nostra, Illos tuos misericordes oculos Ad nos converte. Et Jesum, benedictum fructum ventris tui, nobis, post hoc exsilium ostende. O clemens! O pia! O dulcis Virgo Maria! Priest: Let Us Pray: Almighty, everlasting God, who by the co-operation of the Holy Spirit didst prepare the body and soul of the glorious Virgin-Mother Mary to become a dwelling place meant for thy Son: grant that as we rejoice in her commemoration; so by her fervent intercession we may be delivered from present evils and from everlasting death.
