2 This exhibition won t just get your visitors moving. It will make them want to kick, smile, jump, shout, and dance about! Move and Play! challenges visitors to compete and cooperate, to play and have fun together. The joy and thrill of movement As they move sometimes singly, sometimes in teams visitors experiment with the latest technology and gain creative insights. The 20-plus interactive exhibits also invite visitors to learn about the impact of physical exercise on their own bodies: at each unit they learn which senses and cognitive processes are being put to the test, and what physical skills they are developing. Two thirds of the exhibits are specially designed to be accessible both to able-bodied visitors and to those with limited mobility. And every visitor gets the opportunity to try their skill at manoeuvring a wheelchair. Just look at the names of the exhibits for a taste of the fun and variety in store: Football on the bench, Disco donut, Sailing by shouts, Team stomp, Nostalgic tennis, and more

3 The joy and thrill of movement Exhibits: 1 How hard can you kick? Kick the ball towards the radar as hard as you can. The display shows the ball s speed in kilometres per hour. 2 How accurately can you kick? Kick the ball at the lighted part of the goal. Try to score a hit before the light shifts! 3 Sailing by shouts Turn the crank clockwise to start the game. To steer, shout into the horn and use the crank to raise or lower the sail. The boat slowly fills with water, so you sometimes need to pump it out. Can you keep the boat sailing? 4 Team stomp Step on the board and stamp down once. Wait for the starting shot. Then, the faster you stomp your feet, the faster your runner races ahead.

4 5 Dance game 9 Tightrope walking Take off your shoes and try to balance yourself from one end of the rope to the other. Follow the directions in the pictures. Then see if it s easier using the fan. 14 Precision throw Try to throw the beanbag into the lit-up holes to put out all the lights. 19 Group scales Grab your friends and step on the scales: how much do you weigh together? More than a panda? Step on the platform. Now follow the display to step quickly on the arrows on the platform. Your score is shown as a percentage on the screen. 6 Goalie or not? You can stop the balls by moving to block them. As the clock ticks, the game gets harder. You ll see your score at the end of a minute s play. Good luck! 7 Circus game Tread on the floor switch to start the game. Hold hands to make a circle as big and round as possible and catch the falling fruit and animals. The clowns on screen track your circle. The game has 7 levels! At the end, you ll see your own score together with the day s top five scores. 8 Pulse adventure Press the start button to start the game. Hold on to the handles and steer the red blood cell through the blood vessels using your own heart rate to move it up and down. Raise your pulse rate by moving about or jumping; lower it by calming down. 10 Butterfly s picnic As each flower lights up, touch it with your butterfly. How quickly can you get to eight flowers? Watch out for the spider! 11 Disco donut Steer the wheelchair to the centre of the dance floor. Then start moving, always going for the lighted area on the floor. Keep up the pace and have fun. 12 Skip the rope! Press the button to start the skipping rope: now try the classic outdoor game. How long can you keep jumping? 13 Hit the ball! Put a ball in the airflow. Hit it with a bat or with your hand, and try to drive it through as many hoops as possible. 15 Dance of light Dancing is creative exercise. Check the videos to get ideas about how you can use your body and the space around you. Now step inside, and move your body to direct the image and music. 16 You re on thermal camera! See how you look on a thermalimaging camera. Different colours correspond to different temperatures. So, how can you change the temperature of your nose, ears, or hands? 17 Pulse station Hold on to the handles and check the screen: how does your heart rate vary? And how can you make it rise and fall? 18 Nostalgic tennis Stand on the floor near the edge of the tennis court. Hit the ball by moving sideways into its path. 20 Hula hoop Put the hula hoop around your waist and try to keep it up there swing your hips to dance a hula! There are three different hoops: easy, regular and difficult. 21 Your dimensions Stand against the wall and move the handles along the scale. Compare your own measurements with those of a friend. 22 Info corner Stop by the Info corner to learn more about your senses. 23 Football on the bench Place the ball in the central circle. When you sit down on the seat you create a jet of air. Use repeated air jets to head the ball towards your opponent s goal. Remember to defend your own goal too!
