This information is current as of the date of this document. Revisions will be made as needed. Hardware and software requirements for: EXVOICE on page 2 EXSPEECH on page 2 ENTERPRISE EDITOR on page 3 WORD CLIENT and CORRECTION CLIENT on page 4 EXTEXT on page 5 EWS on page 6 GENERAL on page 8 Keep in mind the following important points: When purchasing a new computer for use with Nuance applications, be sure it meets all the requirements for the applications you intend to run on it. Not all 8.3 applications run on Windows 7. Windows 7 needs more memory than most other operating systems; in most cases 4 GB of RAM is preferred. Review the memory requirements for the applications you intend to run and be sure your computer has sufficient RAM installed. Microsoft Word 2010 must have SP1 installed as well Microsoft Office 2010 must be the 32-bit edition, NOT the 64-bit edition The Microsoft Office products have 32- and 64-bit versions. Use the appropriate Office product for the applications you intend to use and for your operating system. The Cisco VPN client has a 32- and a 64-bit version. 8 EWS, cont. Bandwidth EWS performance is directly related to bandwidth. Clients above 3 mbps connected over a LAN should expect minimal issues with lag time. Clients with marginal bandwidth, or using a WAN, should expect substantial lag time in performance.
