1 Airport Angel Terms and Conditions Airport Angel is provided by CPP Travel Services and Promotional Marketing Limited. The Airport Angel service is subject to these terms and conditions. It is important that you read each section of these terms and conditions carefully to understand the features and conditions of the service. Definitions Where the following words are used in these terms and conditions, they shall have the meanings shown below: Airport Angel means the airport lounge access and AirText service which is described in these terms and conditions. Fee means the total amount that you pay for your Airport Angel membership. Member means the person who subscribes for Airport Angel whose name appears in the Welcome Pack. Membership Card means your Airport Angel membership card. Membership Term means a period of 12 months, starting on the date on which you purchased Airport Angel. we/us/our means CPP Travel Services and Promotional Marketing Limited (registered number ) whose registered office address is Holgate Park, Holgate Road, York YO26 4GA. Website The website at Welcome Pack means the pack sent to you containing these terms and conditions, lounge directory and details of how to use Airport Angel. you, your means the Member. Your Airport Angel Membership Card Your Airport Angel membership cannot be used until you receive your Membership Card. You will be required to register a nominated payment card with us when you purchase Airport Angel. Your Membership Card is valid for the Membership Term only. If you change your name or address, you must tell us as soon as possible, and before you next use your Membership Card. You must tell us immediately if you lose your Membership Card, or if it is stolen, by calling (lines open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week). Conditions and limitations 1. Your Membership Card is not a payment card, nor does it hold any credit. 2. Your Membership Card is not transferable and cannot be used by anyone other than you.
2 3. Your Membership Card is only valid when it has been signed by you and is only valid until the date shown on the card. 4. If your Membership Card is lost, stolen or damaged, you must notify us immediately and we will provide you with a replacement card. There may be a charge of 15 (including VAT) for replacing lost, stolen or damaged cards. 5. By providing details of your nominated payment card, you are authorising us to charge your payment card in respect of Airport Angel services in accordance with these terms and conditions. This authority is in favour of us will remain in force until such time as it is cancelled by you in writing to us. Airport Angel comprises: 1) Airport lounge access Your Airport Angel membership entitles you to access the Airport Angel airport lounge access programme. Participating lounges are detailed in the directory that will be sent to you by us in your Welcome Pack. You can also find details on the participating lounges on the Website. The services on offer in participating lounges include: Complimentary refreshments Free newspapers Internet access Shower facilities Conference facilities Your Airport Angel membership entitles you to up to 4 free visits to participating airport lounges, which can be used by you or a guest. For each accompanying guest you bring outside your 4 free visits, a fee of 15 (including VAT) per guest will be payable. Conditions and limitations 1. Your Airport Angel membership entitles you to have access to airport lounges that have agreed to participate in the Airport Angel airport lounge access programme. Whilst most lounges are available year on year, some may change, please check the lounge listing before you travel. 2. Entry to a participating lounge will only be granted upon presentation of your passport, a valid flight ticket and boarding pass for the same day of travel, a valid Membership Card, and payment through your nominated payment card. Other forms of payment will not be accepted as a substitute. 3. Any guests accompanying you must be able to present a valid flight ticket and boarding pass for the same day of travel to gain entry to a participating lounge. 4. The number of guests that you may bring with you is at the discretion of each lounge operator and some lounges may not admit children. Please see the individual lounge descriptions available on the Website for details. 5. Lounge staff will either take your Membership Card details and enter them into a terminal or a web site or may take an imprint of your Membership Card to log and record your entry. Where applicable, you must sign the log and confirm the number of guests accompanying you, if any. The charge per visit for any guests accompanying you will be based on the log submitted by the lounge operator. Any accompanying children (where permitted) will be subject to the full guest fee unless otherwise stated in the lounge listing. While it is the responsibility of the lounge staff to ensure the correct information is taken from the Membership Card or that a log is made, you are responsible for ensuring the log correctly reflects your own usage and that of any guests at the time of using the lounge. Discrepancies relating to the number of guests stated cannot be settled once you have left the lounge. 6. Where applicable, the charge for each guest visit will be taken by us from your nominated payment card after the visit.
3 7. All participating lounges are owned and operated by third party organisations. You and your guests must abide by the rules and policies of each participating lounge and any terms and conditions set out by a particular lounge, which are available direct from the lounge. We have no control over, nor responsibility for, the facilities offered, the opening/closing times or the personnel employed by the participating lounges. 8. We will do our best to ensure that the benefits and facilities of participating lounges are available as advertised, but we cannot guarantee availability at the time of your visit. We cannot be held liable for any loss to you, or any guests accompanying you, arising from the provision or non-provision (whether in whole or in part) of any of the advertised benefits and facilities. 9. Entry to participating lounges is subject to you and any guests (including children) complying with the lounges terms and conditions of use. Any lounge users not complying with those terms may be asked to vacate the lounge facilities. Airport Angel is not liable for any loss suffered by you and any guests where a lounge operator has refused admission or asked you and/or any guests to leave because you and/or guests have not complied with these conditions. 10. We cannot be held responsible for any disputes that may occur between you and/or any guests and a lounge operator which are not in relation to your Airport Angel membership. All disputes must be settled directly with the lounge in question. 11. Access to participating lounges may be restricted due to space constraints but this will be at the discretion of each individual lounge operator. Registering for a lounge does not guarantee entry. Some lounges may reserve the right to enforce a maximum stay policy (which is usually 3-4 hours) to prevent overcrowding. This is at the discretion of the individual lounge operator who may impose a charge for extended stays. We are not responsible for any such charges that you may incur. 12. Please note that the lounge operator may charge you for using some of their facilities (refer to the Website for details). We are not responsible for any such charges that you may incur. 13. Telephone facilities (where available) will be at the discretion of each lounge operator. Free usage is usually limited to local calls only. Refer to the individual lounge details. We are not responsible for any charges that you may incur when using telephone facilities in a participating lounge. 14. The provision of free alcoholic drinks (where permitted by local law) is at the discretion of each lounge operator and in some cases may be limited per customer, or not available. See the individual lounge descriptions available on the Website for details. 15. Some lounges in Europe are located within designated Schengen areas of the airport which means that access is only provided to these lounges if you are travelling between the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, The Netherlands, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. 16. Airline, airport and other travel industry employees travelling on reduced-rate tickets may not be eligible for the airport lounge access service. 17. We reserve the right to refuse membership to people who are employed by or contracted to an airline, airport or a Government in respect of airline or airport security. 18. It is your responsibility to be aware of, and on time for, flight times, boarding gates and any other secondary information related to their flight. Participating lounges have no contractual commitment to announce flights and we shall not be held liable for any loss resulting from you and/or any accompanying guests failing to board their flights. 2) AirText flight status service The AirText service will inform you of the flight details below using SMS sent to your mobile phone, or the mobile phone of someone nominated by you. 4 You must pre-book to use the AirText service. You can do this online at or over the telephone by calling You will get your first 3 uses of the AirText services free. A use is defined as either a roundtrip (outbound and inbound flight information), a departure or an arrivals service. Subsequent uses will be charged direct by AirText Limited to your nominated payment card. For each additional AirText service you use you will be charged 1.50 (including VAT) for arrivals or departures information and 3.00 (including VAT) for information relating to a round trip. Conditions and limitations 1. The AirText service is provided by AirText Limited (registered number ) whose registered office is at Agden Hall, Agden, Cheshire, WA13 0TZ. 2. Use of the AirText service is subject to the AirText Services Terms of Use, a copy of which is available at 3. You can only use the AirText service once you have received your Membership Card. 4. Once an AirText service has been booked, this cannot be changed and is non refundable. General Conditions, Exclusions and Limitations Your attention is particularly drawn to these conditions, exclusions and limitations which detail the general conditions, exclusions and limitations of Airport Angel. Conditions 1. To subscribe for Airport Angel you must be 18 years of age or older and resident in the United Kingdom. 2. You must provide full and accurate information in connection with your Airport Angel membership. 3. You may not use Airport Angel unless you have paid the Fee. 4. You must meet all of our terms and conditions. This applies to the terms and conditions set out here and any others which we change or add to the service at a later date. 5. The Airport Angel membership is non-transferable; this means that you cannot give your Airport Angel membership away to someone else. Period of service and payment of the Fee Your Airport Angel membership continues for the Membership Term in return for your payment of the Fee. Your Airport Angel membership will end at the end of the Membership Term, however we may contact you prior to expiry of the Membership Term regarding renewing your Airport Angel membership. Cancellation 1. You have a right to cancel your contract within 21 days of the date on which you purchased your Airport Angel membership. If you decide to cancel, please call us on the telephone number in your Welcome Pack. If you exercise this right to cancel, and you have not used the Airport Angel service, then your contract will be cancelled immediately and any payment you have made will be refunded. 2. If you cancel your contract outside the cooling off period shown above you may not be entitled to a refund. 3. In the event that you cancel your Airport Angel membership or your nominated payment card with the card issuer, your Membership Card shall be invalid effective from such cancellation date. Any subsequent lounge visits made using an invalid card, including any guests, shall be charged to your nominated payment card. In the
5 event that the Airport Angel membership has been cancelled due to the nominated payment card being cancelled, Airport Angel will pursue legal action to recover any owed monies. 4. We will cancel your Airport Angel membership, and you will not be entitled to a refund, if you have at any time: a) given us false or incomplete information; b) used your Airport Angel membership dishonestly or agreed to help anyone try to use your Airport Angel membership dishonestly; or c) failed to meet the terms and conditions of your Airport Angel membership or to act openly and honestly towards us. Waiver of terms and conditions If we choose not to enforce a term or condition contained in these terms and conditions, this will not prevent us from relying on that term or condition in the future. We will do our best to answer your query within five working days. If no reply has been sent by then, you will be sent an acknowledgement letter to keep you informed of progress. Applicable law These terms and conditions are governed by and must be interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, unless you live in Scotland (in which case Scottish law will apply) or unless you and us agree otherwise. You and us agree that terms and conditions will be issued in English. Recording calls We record all phone calls to us. We do this to: provide a record of the instructions received from you; monitor quality standards; help us with staff training; and meet legal and regulatory requirements. All communications and documents will be in English unless otherwise agreed. Special needs We are committed to meeting the needs of all our customers, including those with special needs. Letters and other documents are all available on request in Braille or large text or on audio tape. Hearing and speech-impaired customers who wish to speak to us and have a textphone available can do so by using the RNID s Typetalk Relay service. This is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and allows our customers who find this convenient to contact us via a Typetalk Operator who will relay instructions and other requests verbally to our call centre staff. Please note that to use Typetalk Relay, you must have or be able to get access to a textphone. If so, just dial and then dial CPP s number; once the call is connected, a Typetalk Operator will join the call to relay your message. CPP s responses will then appear as text on your textphone. Data Protection Notice Your personal details We will use the information you provide to: provide the Airport Angel service to you; collect payments when due; to contact you regarding any specific enquiry you make. We may ask your card issuers for details of changes in your address and other personal and financial details so that we can be updated. This may include, but is not limited to, asking for updated or new card numbers and for information about changes to any personal contact details (e.g. telephone, mobile phone or fax numbers or addresses). We may use your details to invite you to take part in market research and to let you know about other goods or services that might interest you. We may pass your personal information to other members of the CPP group of companies or other organisations acting for members of the CPP group of companies. They may contact you by post, phone or by . By taking out this subscription and by giving us your address, phone number and address, you agree that we, other members of the CPP group of companies, and other organisations acting for members of the CPP group of companies, may contact you using these methods. If you do not want your details to be used for these purposes, please let us know at any time. To avoid contacting you unnecessarily about products and services you may already have, we will compare your details with information on prospect files prepared by our business partners. When we do this we may need to tell our business partners that you have a subscription with us and disclose enough personal data to enable our business partners to identify you on these files. We may pass your personal information to our third party suppliers who provide features of the service so that we can provide the Airport Angel service to you. By using the Airport Angel service you consent that, for the better provision of the service, we may transfer your data outside the European Economic Area. If we transfer your information to a person, office, branch, organisation, service provider or agent in another country, we will make sure that they agree to apply the same levels of protection as we are required to apply to information held in the UK and to use your information only for the purposes that we have permitted.
