8 how to use the cam lock system CORRECT NOT CORRECT Press can into pre-drilled hole with the arrow pointing toward the side hole. Push the bolt all the way into the side hole :00 2:00 LOCKED NO GAP TIGHTEN With all cam & bolts installed, align and push the panels together. - NO GAPS Insert the tip of a screw driver into the cam. (MAKE SURE PANELS HAVE NO GAPS) Turn cam clockwise to tighten. Secure connection by turning arrow on the cam to 2 O clock to smoothly lock panels together. (The cam bolt will fit loosely until the cam is tightened). 8

9 step 1 drawer assembly - insert cams x x x12 cam bolt cam Place the cams into the large holes on the drawer sides, so that the arrow is facing the edge of the drawer side. Press cam bolts into the holes on the edge of the drawer sides. Do not turn the cams at this time. 9

10 step 2 drawer assembly - attach drawer bottom to back finished side up x3 paper Press the drawer bottom (with the finished side up) into the grooves on the drawer back Paper overlays the slot, but it has a slit so drawer bottom inserts well. Repeat these steps for all three drawers. 10

11 step 3 drawer assembly - attach drawer sides finished side up x24 x3 drawer fastener Align holes at back of the drawer sides, and with the holes on the drawer back Make sure the groove on the drawer back is facing the inside of the drawer. Tap drawer fasteners into place with a hammer. Repeat these steps for all three drawers. 11

12 step 4 drawer assembly - attach top drawer front EB 12:00 2:00 LOCKED Secure connection by turning arrow on the cam to 2 O clock to smoothly lock panels together. (The cam bolt will fit loosely until the cam is tightened). Place the cam bolts on the drawer sides into the holes on the back of the drawer front. Tighten cams to the 2 o clock position. 12

13 step 5 drawer assembly - attach middle and bottom drawer front EB 12:00 2:00 LOCKED x2 Secure connection by turning arrow on the cam to 2 O clock to smoothly lock panels together. (The cam bolt will fit loosely until the cam is tightened). Place the cam bolts on the drawer sides into the holes on the back of the drawer front. Tighten cams to the 2 o clock position. 13

14 step 6 drawer assembly - install panel clips IMPORTANT. The panel clips stabilize the drawer. 90 8" EB+EC x panel clip x3 2. Place the thin edge of the panel clips into the groove between the drawer bottom and the drawer back, top drawer front EB and middle and bottom drawer front EC. Tighten the screws on the support clips but do not over tighten. 14

15 step 7 drawer assembly - install divider, warning label and drawer knob EB x x x x EB drawer knob screw drawer knob drawer insert wire x2 warning label Press drawer insert wires into the holes at the center of the drawer front and back. Slide the drawer divider over the wires until it touches the drawer bottom. Attach warning label to the inside of the drawer side. Use the drawer knob screws to attach the drawer knob to the topdrawer front EB and EC. 15

16 step 8 case assembly - insert large dowel pins and cams PB x x x x4 large dowel pin cam bolt cam 2. Insert large dowel pins into small holes on the ends of the top/bottom rail PB. Insert cams into the large holes near the ends of the top/bottom rail PB, so that the arrow is facing the end of the rail.do not turn the cams at this time. 16

17 step 9 case assembly - insert cams and small dowel pins HG FH KD KE x x x x6 small dowel pin cam bolt cam Place the cams into the large holes on HG, FH and KD, so that the arrow is facing the edge of the panel. Press cam bolts into the holes on the edge of HG, FH and KD. Do not turn the cams at this time. Insert small dowel pins into small holes on the ends of the HG, FH, KD and KE. 17

18 step 10 case assembly - attach side spacers to side panels 6" finished side up front (finished edge) finished side up 6 1/4" HH HG FH FI 6" x6 6 1/4" front (finished edge) long system screw 2. Place left and right spacers on HG and FH. Make sure that the finished edge is toward the front and the finished side is facing up. Use 3 of the long system screws to attach each of the side spacers to the side panels. 18

19 step 11 case assembly - drawer glide detail front of glide back screw location x x x6 drawer glide spacer long system screw x6 drawer glide Slide the drawer glide to the open position, then place a long system screw into the back hole as shown on the drawing. Note: Oil is on slide for lubrication. Use care in handling, so that lubricant is not transferred to the product. Place a drawer glide spacer over the long system screw that was just inserted into the drawer glide. The drawer glide is ready to be installed to the side panel (step 12 on the next page) Repeat this step for each ot the remaining glides. 19

20 step 12 case assembly - attach drawer glides front of glide front screw location front (finished edge) HH HG x6 FI FH front (finished edge) short system screw Place drawer glide with back screw and spacer (from step 11) so that the screw is over the back hole of the side panel, then tighten screw. Move the front of the glide until you can see a drilled hole through the slot on the glide, then use a short system screw to attach the front of the glide. Repeat for the remaining drawer glides. 20

21 step 13 case assembly - attach top/ bottom rails and back rail finished edge finished edge PB PB KD 12:00 2:00 LOCKED FH front (finished edge) FI Secure connection by turning arrow on the cam to 2 O clock to smoothly lock panels together. (The cam bolt will fit loosely until the cam is tightened). 2. Place the dowels on the end of the top/bottom rails PB into the holes at the top and bottom of the left spacer FI. Make sure the finished edge is facing toward the front. Tighten the cams to the 2 o clock position. Place the dowels and cam bolt on the end of KD into the holes at the bottom of the side panel FH. Make sure the groove on the back rail is toward the top of the chest ( this groove will hold the back panel). Tighten the cams to the 2 o clock position. 21

22 step 14 case assembly - attach center rails finished edge PB KE KE PB KD unfinished side unfinished side FH front (finished edge) FI Place dowels on the ends of the center rails onto the holes on the side spacer. Make sure the finished edge is facing toward the front and that the unfinished side is facing toward the bottom of the case. 22

23 step 15 case assembly - attach right side - This step is easiest with two people front (finished edge) HG PB KE KE PB KD FH front (finished edge) FI LOCKED 2:00 12:00 2. Place right side over the dowels on the rails that have already been attached to the left side. Press dowels on all rails into the holes on the right side panel HG and right spacer. It is easiest to start with the bottom rail PB and back rail KD and work your way toward the top. Tighten the cams to the 2 o clock position. Secure connection by turning arrow on the cam to 2 O clock to smoothly lock panels together. (The cam bolt will fit loosely until the cam is tightened). 23

24 step 16 case assembly - insert back panel FH KE HG PB KD 2. Slide the back panel into the grooves on the side panels. Line up the bottom of the back panel so that it slides into the groove on the back rail KD. Note: the panel will be slightly above the top of the side panels, even when inserted completely. 24

25 step 17 case assembly - attach top panel finished edge LD FH KE HG LOCKED 2:00 12:00 Secure connection by turning arrow on the cam to 2 O clock to smoothly lock panels together. (The cam bolt will fit loosely until the cam is tightened). PB KD Place the holes on the top panel over the dowels and cam bolts on the side panels. Tighten the cams to the 2 o clock position. 25

26 step 18 case assembly - attach top rail LD FH KE HG x3 PB KD long system screw Use 3 long system screws to attach the top rail to the top panel. 26

27 step 19 case assembly - install panel clips 2" 90 4" IMPORTANT. The panel clips stabilize the dresser. LD x8 KD FH HG PB panel clip 2. Place the thin edge of the panel clips into the groove between the back panel and the top LD, back rail KD and side panels HG and FH. Tighten the screws on the support clips but do not over tighten. 27

28 step 20 case assembly - attach floor glide FH KD HG PB x4 floor glide Use a hammer to attach floor glides to the bottom of the side panels FH and HG as shown. 28

29 step 21 case assembly - mount wall attachment strips /5" 3 IMPORTANT. The screw supplied together with the wall attachment strip is to be used only for fixing the wall attachment strip to the furniture. In addition to this, you vill need to choose a screw or fitting which is suitable for securing the bracket to the kind of walls you have. If you are unsure about what type of screw to usee contact your local handware store. Wall attachment strip are required to be installed x2 LD FH HG wall attachment strap Place the dresser in the desired position against the wall. Mark the locations of the gow wall attachment slots at the top of the case. Mesure down 1 1/5" from the mark at the top of the case and attach the two wall with washers and screws. Note - The washers and screws for wall attachment should be purchased from a hardware store to suit the typw of wall. Pass the wall attachment straps through the slots at the top back of the case, and attach them to the underside of the case top with the screws and washers that are included in the park. 29

30 step 22 case assembly - attach drawer assembly LD EB EC HG x6 EC drawer glide screw Slide groove on drawer sides over the drawer glide. Pull the slide forward until the threaded hole on the glide aligns with the hole in the drawer side. Attach glide screw from inside the drawer box into the drawer glide. Second hole on drawer slide is not used. 30
