4 The Grill Selection We pride ourselves in selecting the finest cuts of British meat. The whole joint is aged on our premises for at least 14 days before we cut our steaks. We recommend steaks to be cooked medium rare or, at the very most, medium. We slightly undercook our steaks as our cast iron plates will continue to cook the steak very slightly and will ensure your meal stays hot to the last mouthful. OUR STEAKS Rump 8oz oz Whole rumps are cut into three sections allowing us to achieve the required sizes of steak. Full of flavour and a stronger grain. Can become tough if cooked more than medium. T-Bone The T-shaped bone separates the sirloin and the fillet. The best of both worlds. Sirloin oz of prime Sirloin steak. Rumour has it this steak was once knighted by a King. It was so good, hence the name Sir Loin. Fillet Medallions oz of fillet medallions smothered in our pepper sauce & topped with stilton cheese. Mixed Grill Rump steak, lamb chop, gammon, sausages, black pudding, pork loin, egg, mushrooms, tomato & onion rings. Oh, and we forgot to mention the chips! Ribeye 8oz oz Cut from the eye of the prime rib, it is one of the most popular and juiciest steaks. This steak has more marble and fat than others, giving it its distinctive taste and texture. Fillet 8oz The most prized cut of beef, extremely tender and packed with delicious flavour. The Carpet Bagger 6oz oz Biggest selling steak at the Brownlow with over 250 being sold every month. Rump steak stuffed with onions, mushrooms and melted cheese. Our wines change all of the time and seeing as I worked for 20 years in South Africa we are extremely bias towards their fantastic wines. 8 In September 2010 we bought our very first free house, The Ryles Arms. Located in Sutton, just outside Macclesfield, it s an easy 20 minute drive from The Brownlow. The menu is similar to the Brownlow s so you ll be able to visit with confidence knowing that you ll find a great plate of food at the right prices. I fell in love with it when I first visited It s located in the open countryside with gorgeous views over hills and fields. Our business partner at The Ryles is Alex who learned his trade here at The Brownlow 7 years service to be exact. He and his team are building up a great reputation and look forward to the day where we no longer affectionately refer to The Ryles as The Brownlow s little brother! A special feature of the Ryles Arms is the six en-suite letting rooms located in a converted barn next door to the pub. They offer a unique dine and stay, and for 120 per couple you get treated to any three course meal off the menu, and yes this includes fillet steaks (no catches, I promise), your night s accommodation and a full English breakfast in the morning Great for spoiling your loved one or as a group of friends having a night out without the hassle of mini cab costs or one of you having to drive home!
