3 Application Diagram Installation: 1) Connect the Display to the HDMI OUT port 2) Connect the HDMI source to the HDMI INPUT 3) Connect the Digital Audio Output to AV receiver (optional) 4) Connect the DC power adapter Description: The HD11-ARC HDMI Audio Converter will extract HDMI audio to its Optical digital audio output for easy integration with your existing Surround Sound System. The HD11-ARC can extract audio from any HDMI source including an ARC enabled HDTV. The HD11-ARC can be configured as an EDID Emulator allowing you to force your Source to output your preferred Video and Audio signal format ideal where you want to force your Source to Output the native resolution of your Display device or Output 5.1 audio when your connected Display device only supports Stereo audio. 3

5 Remote Control Guide: Function HDMI-Optical Audio output will be converted from the HDMI Input selected. ARC- Optical Audio will play audio from HDTV ARC Port Note: to use ARC feature. You many need to enable CEC control on your display Turns ON/OFF the LED light. Turns ON/OFF the HD11-ARC 5

6 Audio Selection The HD11-ARC optical output can extract audio from either: 1) HDMI input or 2) ARC of ARC enabled HDTV Use the audio select button or remote to select audio mode Optical Audio from HDMI input Optical Audio from ARC Converting ARC to Optical. 1.Connect the HD11-ARC HDMI output port to the port labeled "ARC" of your HDTV 2.Enable CEC on your HDTV 3. Select ARC on the HD11-ARC so the ARC LED is illuminated EDID Emulator: The HD11-ARC has preloaded EDID. Video Audio EDID Preloaded External "learn" mode. Video EDID is read from the connected Display and stored. Internal: -2ch PCM 44.1,88.2,176.4,48,96,192 KHz -DD 5.1, DTS 5.1 An USB service port is provided to download other EDID to the HD11-ARC. A library of EDID is provided on our website. Please contact us if you wish to load other EDID. 6

7 Mounting Tabs The HD11-ARC includes removable wall mounting tabs. The wall mounting tabs can be removed if not needed wall mounting tabs installed Wall mounting tabs can be removed if not needed. Disabling /Enabling Back Panel IR Remote Receiver: To disable the front panel IR remote receiver-insert the plastic plug into the IR jack as shown. IR disabled IR enabled 7

8 Warranty Octava warrants the equipment purchased to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 1 year. In the event applicable law imposes any implied warranties, the implied warranty period is limited to 1 year from the date of receipt. If Octava's equipment fails because of defects (1) year from the date of receipt, Octava will at its option, A) repair or replace the equipment, or B) request return of equipment for refund of the price paid for the product provided that the equipment has not been subjected to mechanical, electrical or other abuse or modifications.
