14 There is a consensus of the importance for Global mobilization of students. However, in reality. The number of students who study abroad has been growing with slow pace. But not in the case of Waseda University!! 14

15 Why?? To feel comfortable staying inside; A cozy little house, kind parents, convenience, safety, delicious foods, old playmates, easiness, etc. A boiled frog syndrome or an adaptation to Galapagos syndrome The systematic promotion mechanism for study abroad or global exposure should be devised. 15

16 The hindrance of labor markets for study abroad a. timing gap between study abroad and job search b. strong bias of companies toward new graduates c. longer low economic growth in the past and not so bright prospect of economy in the future 16

17 Government policy for both mid-career recruitment and regular employment; i.e. Trial employment of youth Probability of gentleman agreement among business, university and government to change the recruitment period; Isn t it against the regulation liberalization? 17
