2 الا ول اليوم ٧ Important remarks before getting started We shall concentrate in this workshop on the design of a webpage (or a web site) where the functionality is the priority. Although the Design is important to make your site attractive and beautiful, it will not be of prime priority here. Web pages will be designed for a Microsoft type server the so-called IIS (Internet Information Nidal Ershaidat Server) 5.0 ٨ ٩ ١٠ Web Programming Language(s) HTML Language HTML Definition: This is the language that Web pages are written in. If you want to create really great Web pages then you will need to learn html. As far as computer languages go this is the easiest to learn. You can create a Web page without it using a Web page editing program but the program will still use HTML to create the page. ١١ Other Languages PHP Perl JavaScript ASP = Active Server Pages Java (applets) ١٢ ٢ ٢
3 Web Page Editing Program ١٣ Two Categories The editors are divided into two categories: I. The WYSIWYG Web Editors These editors allow you to design your website using a What You See Is What You Get interface - somewhat like a word processor where you can see what your page will look like (mostly) as you type; You can design your site from pre-packaged templates, with a WYSIWYG interface to change elements from that template ١٤ The most famous WYSIWYG editors ١٥ The HTML Editors ١٦ I. Microsoft FrontPage II. Macromedia Dreamweaver III. Microsoft ColdFusion Have a look on / These are basically ASCII text editors with additional features that make it easier for you to code pages for the web. They include very often syntax highlighting for the HTML elements. If you write your pages using raw HTML, or if you plan to learn to write HTML, these are the editors you will want to check. Structure of a HTML page <HTML> <HEAD> Here you can put important document information such as frames, language, and special instructions. <TITLE>Title of your page.</title> </HEAD> <BODY> Put your story, pictures, links, and everything else here. </BODY> </HTML> ١٧ Designing a static page ١٨ ٣ ٣
4 ١٩ Simple HTML Simple Tags Header: <H1>Heading of your paragraph.</h1> Paragraph: <p> This is where you enter the text of your document.</p> Writing a link: <a href=" Yarmouk University </a> Using Microsoft FrontPage ٢٠ Important note ٢١ Step 1 : Run FrontPage ٢٢ Be sure that you have a licensed version of Microsoft FrontPage. Step 2 File New Web Step 3 : Open New Page ٢٣ Step 3 : Write your text ٢٤ Step 3 File New Page ٤ ٤
5 Step 4 : Insert a Picture ٢٥ Step 5 : Add a link ٢٦ Step 4 Step 5 Insert Picture From File Insert HypeLink ٢٧ ٢٨ أخرى متقدمة لغات عملي تطبيق JavaScript JavaScript is the scripting language of the Web. The scripting language is VBScript, which is a derivative of Microsoft BASIC ASP is used because of its simplicity in dealing with databases. ٣١ -$9$ 0LFURVRIW9LVXDO%DVLF '(/3+, 2UDFOH ٣٢ ٣٣ ٣٤ )UHH:HEKRVWLQJ Dealing with databases مع قواعد البيانات التعامل Demo End of the workshop ٣٦ Demo The interactive site of the Physics Yarmouk University We hope that you enjoyed it. ٦ ٦
