1 HR Cloud IT Strategy This offering will produce a defined strategy for HR in the Cloud and a roadmap to support the execution of the strategy. The service will work with customers to envision and articulate a HR Cloud IT Strategy that is aligned to the customer s specific business needs, and to translate this Strategy into a series of tangible implementation activities. This will require an analysis of the existing HR IT Strategy and HR systems landscape to provide the detail needed to create a starting point or baseline from which to then move. The study will include producing a high level business case as the entry gate to follow-on services such as cloud package selection and implementation. HR Cloud IT Strategy 1

Summary 1.1 Service Description As with other business functions, Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions and cloud-based technologies can offer HR significant benefits, in terms of both systems landscape simplification and end-user experience. Building on IBM s significant experience of advising customers in cloud strategy and software packages, this offering is targeted at customers that do not yet have a cloud service, or are looking to further develop and expand on cloud services already deployed, and want to explore and evaluate the innovative opportunities for standardisation and automation of their key Human Resources processes. Cloud services in this context refer to a software solution accessed exclusively through the internet, with data and the software stored securely off site. Specifically, this service focuses on HR Cloud IT. This offering will produce a defined strategy for HR in the Cloud and a roadmap to support the execution of the strategy. The service will work with customers to envision and articulate an HR Cloud IT Strategy that is aligned to the customer s specific business needs, and to translate this Strategy into a series of tangible implementation activities. Includes options for moving to the cloud and how to best achieve in the context of the customer s the specific organisation. Suggest the approach and methodology to moving HR to the cloud in a planned and architected fashion, so that future change within HR and other business functions can be more easily accomplished (such as looking at cloud based integration). The Service provides a set of recommendations and a roadmap for HR s move to the cloud, supported by suggestions on how to address the typical operational and technical challenges that arise on a journey of this type. 5 2. Delivery 2.1 Context The IBM approach to developing a HR Cloud Strategy will identify and address each area needing definition. At arriving at a HR Cloud IT Strategy, HR should determine how and to what degree the HR Cloud can be used to enable its business model: Disruptors create radically different HR value propositions and generate new customer experiences Innovators significantly extend people value propositions resulting in a transforming of their role within the organisation Optimisers use the HR Cloud to incrementally enhance their people value propositions while improving their performance efficiency. 2.2 What we will deliver The key activities of this service are to: Understand the business objectives for HR and the translation of these into an HR IT Strategy HR Cloud IT Strategy 5

6 Evaluate the customer s existing HR systems landscape Determine the maturity of Cloud services already received by the customer, if applicable Develop and document the customer s HR Cloud IT Strategy Develop and document a roadmap for the move to HR in the Cloud services, including a rationale on priority HR processes and quick wins Produce a high level business case for HR Cloud investments. What you will get The deliverables from this analysis will be: A document evaluating the extent to which existing HR IT Strategies align to and support wider HR business goals and objectives A document detailing the future HR Cloud IT Strategy and its align to and support of wider business goals and objectives A document providing a Roadmap to move HR to the Cloud A document providing a high level business case to support future investment decisions, such as Cloud package selection and implementation. 2.3 Commercials This will be a fixed price contract; based on a typical engagement of 50 consulting days and an estimated three weeks elapsed time. However, following the first phase of the work, there could be the opportunity to discuss the conversion of the initial quote into a Fixed Price, Time and Material or Risk/Reward based contract in order to provide increased flexibility for the customer. Follow on work will be under the appropriate category(ies) of the IBM SFIA rate table. The scope of work will be set out in the Call Off Order Form and agreed by both parties. Follow on services to enable you to complete implementation of cloud services can be provided by IBM. Details should be agreed via the Call-Off Order and priced using the IBM SFIA rate card. 7 2.4 Key Points Other key points to note are as follows: This offering is subject to availability of IBM resources. The Charges for this Service are on the basis that no Parent Company Guarantee is required. If one is required and agreed to by IBM then the Charges will be revised accordingly. For Fixed Price offerings, Travel and Subsistence (T&S) costs are included for work within the M25. For work outside the M25, T&S will be payable using the Contracting Body s standard T&S rates. The pricing and terms on individual call-off orders should be handled as commercially sensitive by the Contracting Body. Where work is of a sensitive and secure nature, security standards will be agreed between IBM and the Contracting Body, and if necessary IBM will ask the Contracting Body to issue a Security Aspects letter. Whilst we do not propose to handle or have access to any personal data, we will suggest and agree alternative approaches such as the use of anonymised data for testing purposes.
